I cannot express in words the joy that I am feeling at this moment, save that I may weep openly.

I am also very excited about this. It is very good news. Lets hope Telltale can balance the 3 games (more?) they are working on nicely.

Squeals with delight, wipes away joyous tear.

  • I'm so glad to learn about these news... but...
Actually I'm REALLY worried about the choice to make a series of episodical games... Wouldn't you all prefer a complete adventure to be found on the shelves??

Any way I can get it, my friend.

    Hi everybody!!!

I'am also very excited about this game. I was waiting like hell for Freelance Police and evry disappointed when bloody LA cancelled it! So i'm really happy that my favourite duo returns on PC!!!

But I also would prefer a full-price retail version of this game which you can buy in stores. At least in different laguages.

In Germany e.g. there are some publishers specialised in Adventure Games. Im sure they would publish it in cooperation with you (at least because they know who you guys are! ;) )
The biggest in europe is dtp!!! (http://www.dtp-ag.com) Just for information... ;)

So thank you for bringing this wonderful games to us,

    Tom

I don't care about it not coming in stores. I only want a large and detailed world. I am worried making the games as episodes will make the world in the games less detailed as they would have to worry about the size of the file to download. I want a large download. I feel bad for the people with low connection. At least make it over 120 mb. The modem people can manage that. I downloaded the Escape from Monkey Island demo, and that was 120 mb, and it took about 7 hours to complete when I was doing other things the same time. I could manage the extra costs if I still had dial-up. Or I would have asked a friend to download it to me.

I remember how the world in Hit the Road grew larger and larger as you got further in the game, with new locations. I simply loved it, as you weren't done with places you had already been even though you had moved further in the game. And that makes me think of the FP-idea about many differend cases that lead to one über-plot.

First episode: The office and some other places will be explored and a case will be solved. Game ended.
The next episode: Making use of the resource-files of the first game and adding more locations and new puzzles in the locations already visited in episode 1 so you can solve case 2. In this way the world will continue to expand.

Or maybe ths is not a good idea. The world would at one point be too large, and you would have to buy every game to enjoy one of them. Perhaps the episodes should play in their own world and its own locations. The last episode should also have it's own case, but if you have completed all the episodes, you should get a last case which is using the locations and resource-files of all the episodes.

In this way every episode would be a single game in itself, but if you really are interested and wants all the episodes, you will get your reward.

Maybe I'm just dreaming and it wouldn't work at all. But I wouldn't mind something in this direction. In this way you will have a great way to end the series of the games if you want to do other things, and maybe later start on a new "season" of Sam and Max games with new cases to solve and a new über-plot.

Or maybe the series should go on forever and ever and not have any final episode at all.

4th grade, perhaphs earlier. THE GAME WAS SO FREAKING NEAT BACK THEN!!!! Like Calvin and Hobbies, it taught me new vocabulary (dad, whats "gratuitous" mean?) and gave me new catch phrases to annoy everyone with (may the sun rise and annoy you!). I was deeply hurt when Lucas arts cancelled the game. I MEAN, YOU PUT MAX'S FREAKING HEAD IN A MAP AS A HIDDEN THING IN DARK FORCES, AND YOU HAD TO CANCEL THE GAME?!?! BS, Lucas! YOU WERE MY HERO!!! THE CHOSEN ONE!!! WHYY?!?!?!?!?! Which reminds me...

    Lets do Lucas!
    Lucas Lucas, fo mucas,
    bananafana, fo fucas,
    fee-fi fo foocas,
