Clementine, Duck and Katjaa.

Guys lets face it Duck and Katjaa were there more for Clementine then you could of been up to ep 3. Yeah you were the one protecting her but when you were gone who did she talk to and play with? Duck and Katjaa. I'm sure Katjaa has told more stories to Clementine then you have and ducks made her laugh more. They're gone now...What do you think of this?

The more reason to find her parents.

Why is a game touted as "tailored to the player's actions" doing this? Does that make any sense to anybody else?

Definitely, but I have faith TTG will make up for it in Episode 5 with multiple endings that "tailor" with your decisions. If not, I'm throwing a major hissy fit.

  • TellTale did say that in Ep 4 there will be an "EPIC" decision that's based on all your previous choices....

Let's see if they can live up to that.

All I was thinking after reading this was:

and how much did it help Katjaa and Duck that they "wore there more" for Clementine in the end?

    nothing what so ever!

  • Given how quickly circumstances change, I'm not sure they have time to grieve and what's Clem learning from that?

Ghostrobo is such a huge fan of the game but we still have no proof that telltale has said that so ehh. I'll take his word for it but I won't be mad if it there is a awesome choice or there isn't.

  • I liked Duck, he is pretty funny when you are investigating the missing supplies in ep3, he was just goofy kid and i felt bad when he was bitten.

  • I loved Katjaa, she was so nurturing and supportive and serious and grounded. The most sane person in the entire group. I feel like we all should have just let her lead the group.

    Or a Katjaa/Lee duocracy.

And Duck could be annoying, but you have to remember. He's been through more stress as a 10 year old than any other survivor in the game.

In Episode 1 he was jumped by zombies twice and had a 300 pound wall of muscle threatening to throw him back out there. In Episode 2 he EATS HUMAN FLESH and gets held at gunpoint. In Episode 3 he's worried that Shaun dying was his fault and he gets bitten by a zombie!

Seriously, and this kid was still playing make-believe, cracking jokes, and throwing around high-fives while Clementine turned deeper and deeper into herself and grew quieter and more stand-offish. Either Duck is incredible or Katjaa and Kenny are the greatest parents in the world.

  • @Zombies are Awesome! said: i think Duck mostly annoyed her :p lol

Or was it the opposite?

I’m imagining what she is going to do with her spare time now since she can’t but bugs on his bed anymore.

Katjaa was awesome but not leader material.

I don't know. I haven't exactly lost faith with the series or the company, but they murdered every single character that I had any real connection with aside from Clementine in the space of twenty minutes. Is life fair? God no. Is life cruel? Oh, absolutely. This is a videogame, though. Bad things should happen that make us feel awful, but killing off half of your cast is just bad storytelling, not "gritty realism."

Oh, well. I guess I'm just parroting the same pains that a lot of players are. It's just very frustrating - especially when I stop to consider that I waited two and a half months for what amounted to a little over half an hour of gameplay and no real plot movement (except a little geographical shift, the death of everyone I give a shit about - Clementine aside - and one half-second flit of new information about a radio), and now I'm going to wait another two or three months for my next teeny bit of game.

    Bleugh.

I'm not backing TTG but they did say that something in episode 4 will depend on your choices and I think it'll be to do with Clem
