Why is there no sex?

This is obviously an adult game. Lots of blood, death, gore, people getting their bowel ripped out. But no romance? Not even insinuated. How come? I hope we get to see some relationships or romances in the next series. I mean sure it's a zombie Apocalypse but they are still human and I doubt the scenario would suddenly turn all survivors into celibats.

  • Pervert. Go play Heavy Rain instead then if you're not satisfied.

  • Considering that pretty much every book, movie, and what have you tries to shoehorn in a relationship whether it fits or not, I think I can stand to have a video game that sticks with the actual plot.

That is to say that Heavy Rain was about perversion. Games like Dead or Alive or Bayonetta probably better fit the bill. Then again, Heavy Rain had quite a bit of creepy bits with how Madison was portrayed. I think there was only one scene in the game where she wasn't put into some creepy nurse or damsel in bondage situation.

I guess in the end it has to do with whether or not OP meant this as another layer of realism for the game or whether or not he wanted it for.. other reasons. If column A, there are plenty of ways that a story can show realism without the introduction of romance or overt sexual themes. In fact, sometimes it can really clarify the story to not force such situations. If you're looking for column B then there are several sources outside of the game that can help you. A quick google search (unfortunately for me) found several images that might help you in that regard.

If neither of these are acceptable answers, the great thing about the internet is the sheer amount of accessibility to fan created content as well as the ability to create your own if you feel the current canon does not fit your needs.

  • Get a life you pathetic idiot. It's a zombie apocalypse and want to see sex? Something is wrong you.

  • If any species are meant to do nothing else it is to have sex and raise babies. Seriously. That's evolution. It's hardwired into our brain. We can't help it. In any situation, the worst tragedies, the one thing people do is still have sex if they can.

clearly you've never read any of the walking dead comics.

the need for love and comfort would probably intensify during a zombie apocalypse, not decrease.

That's not exactly true. The first human instinct is to survive (i.e. eat, sleep, wake up again, eat) and it will bury every other instinct until it is taken care of and secured.

I agree that once a feel of safety has set in, sexuality would be a very important point, but this is still a very basic instinct. Love and comfort would set in a lot later and given the current circumstances not at all in Lee's group.

There was a short moment when the group felt secure, and at once Carley showed affection to Lee, but there would most probably not have been a romance given what happened next (and assuming she had survived).

  • You want Sex and the Dead City?
