A couple of TWD interviews

Here, I thought it might be interesting to post a couple of recent interviews that Jake Rodkin and I did about the game series. Some insight into how and why we do things the way we do. POTENTIAL SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY.

  • Great reads, and pretty in depth to.
It's interesting to note that you said the direction of the second season will be partly defined by how the first season ends at the end of the edge online article. I presume this means that we will not have a full change of characters from season 1 to season 2.

It could mean either what you've suggested, or that the characters will make choices at the end of Season One that actually impact the world as a whole enough to change what happens in Season Two.

I think that TTG is too smart and too fond of the episodic structure of their games to have the two seasons not relate at all to one another; they will have to find a way to make season two accessable for new players, but still benefit the players that played through the first season first so that their decisions have an impact in the continued story. Other games have done this to a lesser extent in the past, so I'm definitely looking forward to how TTG will execute in this regard.
