Forgotten Unsolved Mystery in Episode 3

This is one of the BIGGEST forgotten mysteries in the Walking Dead game... Remember back in Episode 3, we got on the train, and in the driver's seat, there was this guy you thought was a zombie, but actually had half his head smashed off?

Obviously, prime suspect is Chuck (R.I.P.), but what motive would he have to kill him?

Do you think it was Chuck? Another group/person before him? I don't know, the train driver's corpse doesn't seem extremely decomposed O.o
Or maybe it was just the fact that the driver compartment was sealed off and no flies/bugs could get in :L

Who do you think it is, and what was their motive?

I thought the train came to a sudden halt, and he was violently thrown head first into the window(it has a large hole and is covered with blood). Perhaps he saw someone on the tracks and tried to stop for them.

It seems implied that way at least, The camera focuses on the broken window after showing the man, and Lee looks at it as well. Afterwards he says "I don't think this guy came back..."

  • I dont think it was a mystery. I always assumed the train wreck killed the driver. and chuck just sort of leaves him there.
Why would you mess with a dead person if you dont have too, he lived in the 1 cart.

Never thought of it that way but would be interesting

  • For some reason I assumed he shot himself in the head. Perhaps with a magnum or something. But I guess the crash makes sense. But I figured, the distance from the driver perfectly in the seat, and the window with the hole, and how his head looked.. It looked like suicide to me.

But I didn't even think of the fact that the train was.. crashed.

    *shrugs*

  • But don't you guys think that the fact that he was just sitting 'there' like nothing happened and not on the floor, or at least 'sprawled out' a bit when his head left the glass? also half his head was gone, i dont think glass/impact alone can blow off half a guys' head off

  • i'd thought he'd been shot by a sniper, maybe someone hoped to steal the train but was thick as pig shit and so couldn't figure out how to use the train or free it ?

or he suicided and chuck found him and took his magnum/revolver

  • Half of the guys head was literally blown off which would support a suicide headshot from point blank, the blood splatters on the window and consoles prove that he was shot from behind though. It wouldn't make much sense to shoot oneself from behind, so suicide can be ruled out in my opinion.

Chuck would be the only reasonable person to have killed him from what we know. We will never really find out though.

  • if the window had been thinner, he would have gone flying through it. It stopped him, crushing his skull, and the force threw him backagain.

You could be right with that as well. It might well have been an accident when the train derailed and came to a sudden stop, catapulting him right into the windscreen and back into his seat. Maybe not very propable, but possible.

  • The crack through the window. Mystery solved. ... ... ... OR IS IT? MWAHAHAHAHHAHA

  • It does seem like he was murdered but there is no entrance wound in the back of his head?
