I don't want to start a console war on what console is better.
just tell your reasons why you like it and NOT start a "console war".

  • Sega Genesis/Master System because

@der_ketzer said: You never forget your first love..

  • The SNES because it has my favorite game.

  • SNES, hands down. Close second is the N64. I loved my PS2 (and still love my PS3) and Xboxes but nothing beats the memories of the SNES.

  • PS2 with PS3 coming in second. Just love the exclusives for them. Sly Cooper,Jak & Daxter,Ratchet & Clank,Parappa the rapper (even through i have only played the PSP version of Parappa 1),Uncharted,Infamous. I just like Playstation's exclusives better.

  • I have no idea how you could forget SNES and Dreamcast, but whatever..

I chose Other because I can't pick just one. Never been a fan of those kinds of decisions because it's pretty much impossible. SNES, PS1, GBA, PS2, NDS all had great titles on them. I own over a hundred PS2 games, and more than 50 PS1 titles. Mostly cause it was easy to find them used when I had actual money to spend.

The PC is another a great choice because of the fact I can emulate a lot of the cartridge-based console games I loved, and it's got a great selection of games on its own between GOG, Steam, and everything released before those came around (or on their own like Telltale).

However, I've enjoyed almost every console I've ever owned, even if I didn't own a lot of games - rentals were always an option. N64, Dreamcast and GameCube come to mind. I have gotten a surprising number of Xbox 360 games over the few years I've owned it, and my Wii has seen new life since I soft-modded it with Homebrew Channel. Allows me to do emulation on an actual TV! But it also lets me access codes on games I might've never touched on the Wii like House of the Dead or Trauma Center.

  • I will always remember my precious Intellivision with love. I played so many fun games on it. Sure the quality is so much better now in gaming it's unbelievable, but those early consoles were terrific. Now I love my p.c., so I'd have to have a classic versus current choice.

  • The best console is, I believe, the Nintendo Entertainment System. It's primarily responsible for bringing console gaming back to popularity after the console video game crash of 1983.

The second best is the Playstation 2. Current consoles might be more powerful and look better, but the PS2's game library is massive, and there were games still being published for it after the PS3 was released.

  • The PC. Because the PC can play any game you want it to (with a little work) and you can play it in any way you want to (keyboard, mouse, joystick, flightstick, Wii remote, gamepads of all kinds, etc).

  • So I'm just gonna list all of the good Gamecube titles, because there's a lot of them- why? Because it'll show why I like the console:

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
    Super Mario Sunshine
    Sonic Adventure 2 DX
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure
    Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
    Starfox Adventures
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
    Sonic Heroes
    Baten Kaitos
    Baten Kaitos Origins
    Metroid Prime
    Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
    Resident Evil: REmake
    Resident Evil 4
    Mario Kart: Double Dash
    Kirby Air Ride
    Luigi's Mansion
    Super Monkey Ball
    Super Smash Brothers: Melee
    Pokemon Colosseum
    Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness
Jimmy Neutron: Attack of the Twonkies
    Tales of Symphonia
    Soul Calibur 2
    Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
    Pikmin 2
    PK: Out of the Shadows
    Spider-Man 2
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron: Rebel Strike
    Scooby Doo: Mystery Mayhem
    Megaman: Network Transmission
    PN: 03
    Killer 7
    Viewtiful Joe
    Viewtiful Joe 2
Tak and the Power of Juju
Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams
    Tak: The Great Juju Challenge
    Second Sight
Looney Tunes: Back in Action (I think)
    Fairly Oddparents: Breakin' Da Rules
    Wario World
Wario Ware: Nothing becaue there wasn't a GCN Warioware game

  • Sadly, I have to point out the following:

Sonic Adventure 2 DX - Port.
    Sonic Heroes - Multi Platform.
Soul Calibur 2 - Multi Platform (though the NGC version had Link, so...)
Tak and the Power of Juju - Multi Platform.
Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams - Multi Platform.
Tak: The Great Juju Challenge - Multi Platform.
Looney Tunes: Back in Action - Multi Platform.
    Spider-Man 2 - Multi Platform.
Fairly Oddparents: Breakin' Da Rules - Multi Platform (I think).
Resident Evil 4 - Superseded (superior ports on PS2 and Wii).
Jimmy Neutron: Attack of the Twonkies - Multi Platform (I think).

Don't get me wrong - I love the GameCube too. But your list of Gamecube exclusives isn't quite as big as you say.
