Your Opinion on Carley's injury.

Ok, first of all, you guys who say it's not an injury but death should just shut up. An injury could be fatally, mortally or slightly wounding. A fatal injury is the same as death. I just used injury cus I don't like being reminded about what happened to her, because I liked her character/personality whatever.

you don't say "Im sorry for his death" to a loved one but you say "Im sorry for his passing." it sounds less grave or whatever.

The point of this thread is: WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON CARLEY'S INJURY? IS IT REALISTIC FOR YOU? WHY/ WHY NOT?

In other words, do you think her injury was realistic/instant fatal injury could happen due to a shot to the cheek? and a shot there could cause that fatal injury?

My opinion is that a gunshot to the cheek will not be fatal. It would hurt a lot, and probably pass through your jaw and some blood vessels, but in my opinion, it wasn't that realistic and wouldn't kill instantly. I talked to my dad and he said that it wouldn't be fatal since it did not pass through the brain but would probably puncture some blood vessels, but not kill. It would cause significant injury.

I think so too. A gunshot to the cheek isn't that fatal. What's more is that she was shot while she was facing sideways, not facing lily directly meaning it passed through her other jaw and so it didnt hit the brain. (if carley was facing lilly face to face it might hit some vital parts like maybe graze the brain) Basically, i don't think it could be instant death. Plus, i don't think it's that realistic for her to die instantly without speaking a word. You can see many guys with disformed jaws still very much alive.

What's your opinion on this? Will it hurt her fatally?

Please respond. :) POSITIVELY. I would respect your opinion, (but i wont if its full of crap and such)

I am 100% sure that a kid that knows how to read would have by now. I can write a list of books i have red in the past or am currently reading? im trying to do war and peace right now but i find that a Challenge to me but im sure i can find another book to read. Im not joking if you want a list of books ive read send me a message.

lilly is taller than carley so the angle it was coming from lilly should have pointed the gun down a bit anyway because lilly is taller than carley. thats what i have to say on your angle ^^

#1 huge wall of text I am just going to ignore.

#2 lilly is taller so? Lilly is holding the gun in her HAND and obviously Carley's Head is far ABOVE Lilly's hand, correct? This means the angle of the bullet's penetration goes upwards. It is basic logic. Also I mentioned the lightning.

And again, unlike you I think I provided more than enough proof by now to completely, and utterly destroy your argument in every way, shape and form.

  • Pointless arguments, pointless arguments everywhere.

At the end of the day Carley's dead and it doesn't matter what the specifics are nor the logic behind it. I'm telling you now Telltale didn't take in account the "angles" nor the "specific locations of the brain." They just wanted to show Carley getting shot in the head, which usually means (unless you're some kind of nitpicker) that they are dead.

no, no, no you read that.

  • She's dead Jim.

She got shot in the head in a setting where civilization has collapsed and there are no hospitals. While people and do occasionally survive being shot in the head, those people also benefited from immediate medical attention and surgery.

Even *if* Carley wasn't killed immediately, there was no saving her.

I'm certain however that Telltale intended for Carley to have been killed instantly by that shot, before her body even hit the ground. Otherwise the group wouldn't have just left her there to get consumed while still living by zombies. They would have likely finished the deed.

  • Dammit. Someone posted the Game Theory link first. But, yeah. Click on that link. It pretty well explains it. If she was shot in the forehead, or some other part of the head, she would probably survive. However, she wasn't. If by sheer accident, or TellTale doing it's research, they made the bullet hit on of the few places, travelling at the right angle, to hit the section of the brain that you could NOT get up from.

  • Carley's dead.
As in, her brain is destroyed and she isn't coming back in any form.

Huh? So you are saying if I put a gun right on your forehead and blast your brain, you would survive? Link please, sounds hilariously illogical but I am open to read that.

Not what I said. I said, from that distance, with Lilly being completely insane, she might survive. People do survive from headshots. It happens ALL the time. There is one part of your brain that cannot be damaged, but all of the rest of it can be damaged and you might get away with just brain damage. However, if Carley survived, she would be completely changed. If not mentally disabled, or put in some sort of coma, it would completely change her personality.

Link was already posted, but whatever.

Your "source" says 'point blank'.(1:04). Anyhow I saw it and yea, not very likely to survive a headshot. 90% of people who receive headshots are immediately dead, the ones that manage to somehow survive wind up with major brain damages and can't live without a lifetime support of others.

So, even if carley would be one of those very rare cases (she wasn't btw) of surviving with a brain damage, she wouldn't be able to survive at all, let alone in a zombie apocalypse.

I didn't say that it was very likely, or at least, I didn't mean to convey that message. I agree that Carley is dead. I hope that TellTale doesn't bring her back. That would be so stupid. I mean, even if Carley somehow survived, us running into her in the next game would just seem like a bad Retcon.
