Saddest death in the game ( Not Duck )

posted by Mjeed on - last edited - Viewed by 994 users

So i just finished episode 4 ( best episode BTW ) and i still can't get the picture of that poor kid in the attic ... before episode 4 i thought that Duck's death was the saddest death in the game but now i am wrong ...

The poor kid couldn't even stand on his knees out of hunger ... it was sad seeing the empty plate and bottle like that ... and carrying his body and watching how thin he became with only his underwear and socks on and burring his body like that it really broke my heart.

the poor kid locked himself in the attic scared to death to even go down the stairs to search for food or people.

  • Ducks was sadder. Duck was one of them, part of the group. You got to know him, his death was like losing a family member. He idolized Lee, to the point where Kenny was jealous. He was Robin "for christsakes" to your Batman. The boy in the attic was a stranger, you did not have to witness his death or have no hand in it. In my eyes the fate of the attic boy does not compare with the death of one of your own. I unlike some here have never "cried, wept, grew misty", at any point in this wonderful story, but I was genuinely saddend as I watched Duck die, an emotion I did not feel anywhere close to the extent at the sight of the poor child in the attic.

  • wow....don't know what happened there, sorry about that

  • I was untouched by the attic kid scene. I only care about members of my group from episode one-three, and most of them were already gone by then!

For me, Lee's scene was the saddest.

  • Top 3...
    1) Lee's.
    2) Kenny and Ben's. Christa's version was kinda dumb.
    3) Duck

At Duck's death I cried for about a couple of minutes but really badly D:
Then and Kenny and Ben's death (my two favorite characters except Lee and Clem) tore me apart.
    Then Lee's...
    Let's just say I didn't hear the song in the credits over the sound of WHYYYYYY;-;

  • Yeah I think we get your point lol

  • Seeing the dead dog was almost as sad as the boy. It looked like my dog, who's turning 12 or 13 this year.

Plus, it was just traumatizing to see the remains of the dog after it was dug up. I can't tell you how many pets I've had buried throughout my life, several dogs included. And to think of them being pulled out of the ground who knows how long after they've died... ugh.

  • @Zombie2k12 said: i think it was carleys death, because it was so surprising! i wasnt expecting lilly to shoot her and only realised it when she was already down. after what happened the games before, her death got to me the most!

i could see katjaas death a mile away, with her being so calm right after doug was bitten. that was almost creepy...
ducks death was sad... i thought "he is still breathing you bastards... at least let him die before you shoot him!"

atleast lilly put doug out of his misery instead of him getting ill

  • I'd say Lee's death, but only because Clem was there crying... if it wasn't for her i'd say Kenny OR Lee still would have to decide :D

  • I'd say Lee's.

Since you go through the game playing as him, you truly feel as if you're losing a part of yourself when he dies.

That, and he was all Clementine had left in the world.

  • Lee's was by far the worst

Duck and Kat's is a distant second.
