Is dead. They no longer make puzzles.
It's now called "Engaging Story Agent".

Looking for our logo in that lineup was a bit like this for me...

I don't see ANY reason to approach the PS4 with an open mind. Literally the first big thing that came up after their little conference was to kill any hopes I had for the console. I didn't expect them to include PS1 or PS2 backwards compatibility, but to ditch PS3 compatibility?! And not just for the disks, but for your DIGITAL GAMES?! That is beyond stupid. I mean, really, this makes no sense, especially when it is stated that the PS4 USES disks and uses BLU-RAY!

  • I just noticed Yukes and 2k on the logo thingy meaning that WWE 2k14 might be on PS4!

Okay, I have to agree on this.

What the hell is the point of having a PS4 if you can't transfer your gi-normous Playstation Plus library of digital PS3 games to it? Does this mean that at some point they will stop supporting PSN for the PS3, and my legally bought games will no longer be available for download? If I can play a downloadable copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on my PS3, why not on PS4? I'm sure you can still play downloadable NES games on the WiiU.

...if anyone ever wondered why PC games have made a comeback, this is reason enough.

EDIT: It just occured to me that if PSN support for PS3 ever goes down, that I could always take my PS3 off the network (so Sony doesn't ban my PSN account) and jailbreak the console. Still, one shouldn't expect everyone else to have to do that, so it still sucks.

  • The PS4 is looking to be the most pointless console in years... -_-

I may actually have to go Wii U if I get any consoles at all this time round.
(Microsoft have a lot to improve on if they want to keep my interests. Its already waned. 3DS, Android and PC, are pretty much my Goto stuff now (and my PSP of course for my massive library on there))

  • As soon as the PSN started with digital downloads, I knew nothing good was going to come of it and that's when I made the decision to go mostly back to PC. I do buy the odd PS3 game, but I usually get the PC version as long as it's comparable in quality.

They could always change their minds and support library imports if enough people complain, but that still doesn't change the fact that the days are still numbered. Think of PC, in it's history, there were what? Only 4 complete changes in medium? 8" to 5" to 3" to CD(yes, DVD but CD is still supported in DVD drives). With each transition overlapping, you had more than enough time to deal with it and do what you wanted to do about it.

I'm not pushing this into PC vs Console. I was, admittedly, a console gamer primarily for many years. The PS3 and the PSN was just my own awakening as to what I thought was the going trend and I made my decision based on that. After all, who can complain when both PS and Xbox are shoving it up your ass? They've done the same with their choices on the current consoles. They seem content with providing similar products and standing around "Okay, pick one. What other choice do you have? WiiU? It doesn't have most of our shared licenses. Pick."

As soon as I got Steam at uni, (a year or two after it started), and had my first christmas sale, I was like:

"Yeah. This is the future right here"

And the PC scene has only gotten stronger since. Especially the indie scene.

  • It is good for it to be on many platforms not just PC
I've had the problem of being an Xbox gamer with a rubbish PC and Sam and Max season 3 not being released on it...
So I hope future games will accessible for everyone
