This Game (At Least Season 1) Feels Like Wasted Story Potential...

I feel the games story was a major let down, TT should have really let us tailor the story the way we want...

Such as:

Saving Hershel's son
Throwing Duck out
Telling the Farmers to fudge themselves (so you never have to visit the farm)
A more in-depth feeding system (like people dying/leaving because they were not fed)
Actually stopping Duck's mum from killing her selve
Going with lily (or whatever that bitches name is) in the van?! (whole new story branch!)
Etc etc

But one thing that pisses me off, is how cutting your arm off does nothing. I really wish if you cut your arm off you had enough time to walk Clemmy to Chris and Omid, that woulda been cool.

Do you guys feel the same?

  • If you cut your arm off you don't black out as much.

Who's to say those things won't have an effect on season 2 o.O

No one who's playing through the game for the first time could have ever known that she would shoot herself. come on.

I don't know if you meant letting her back in the van after she shot Carley or just deciding to go with her after she asked you, but if you let her back in the van and after she steals the RV, I think this would branch out to season 2 somehow. I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see.

  • Most of those would have ruined/derailed the story, making it far worse. No thanks.

  • El problema es que todos pensamos algo diferente, y eso es bueno damos más ideas y entrelazamos historias, me imagino que dieron todo esas situaciones para copiar el The walking dead del comic, una historias negra, donde su única fuerza radica en hacernos sufrir.

  • Seems to be a lot of negative comments lately about The Walking Dead S2 ,some justified ...to think of how they could of continued with Lee's story throughout the years much like the Tv series where Rick is still the main character,TT have said they hope the series has legs, its going to be interesting how they approach it and who they put as the main character, i still think Lee is the universal favourite and that the extra content between games with be about his getting out of the jewelry store (passed out from arm cut off but got to it before infection)

  • You can't mess with canon. No matter what, Shawn dies. He's shown in the comics. You can't come with Lilly. She was originally based on Lilly from the comics.

I'm actually fine with the whole limited "story is tailored by your decisions" part of the game. I don't care for multiple endings.

This is why I hope the next season avoids established canon as much as it can. Let it keep me guessing.

I would like to see a potential for more branching paths like the Carley/Doug decision, but I doubt I'll complain about not having a lot of multiple endings as long as it still boils down to an amazing finale like Season 1 had.

Ok... Really this again? I have seen too many people complaining about it not being tailored. tailored is different than altered. This game allows you to play the game the way you want to play it, you can tailor the experience of what your going through based on your personality and instinctual reactions.

If you were able to not go to the st johns, you would miss out the entire episode that has some of the most dramatic moments of the whole game. (The last few scenes of that episode)

This game is just like real life, just because we chose one path to take, doesnt mean it will work out the way we want it. Say I wanted to save Shawn, so i chose him. Shawn had three zombies after him to Ducks 1, who is more likely to survive? Just because you make a decision on the game doesnt mean it should always work out the way you plan or want it. I know I have made decisions before and they didnt work out at all. Same concept.

If they let you just do whatever you wanted the game would suffer a lot, see this game is like the Mississippi river. There are lots of small departures of smaller rivers and streams that join the river and reach the ocean. They all experienced relatively the same thing, they just had different ways of getting to the end.

  • If you wanted a more branching story then the releases would be three months apart from each other... I liked it the way it is.

    Good imagery!
