The "whatever's on your mind" thread

One of the things that's great about this forum is its randomness. Well, this is the epitome of it: a thread for whatever random thought happens to be passing through your mind.

For example, I've just been struck by the most random craving for Taco Bell nachos.

Oh shit, it's Eurovision this evening, isn't it?

    ...meh. Whatevs.

  • Also, what I don't get is this. Nintendo's Wii U hasn't been doing so hot lately, but we also know they're basically sitting on a pile of money. They can afford to have this console flop. Don't think it will actually flop, but it's all still too soon.

People are already saying the PS4 or the XBox Infinity will do much better, even though neither is out yet, and won't be until the end of this fiscal year, which is somewhere in the beginning of next year (at least I've heard rumors that both consoles won't launch this year anymore, due to wanting to fine-tune their devices).

I think as soon as it became political, everyone in the UK stopped caring about it... -_-

Well, they've got a lot of great games on the horizon, and undoubtedly some announcements at E3 too. Plus, a year ago everyone was saying this about the 3DS, and look what happened. So many awesome games out for it now, and in the future. I guess they had their hands tied up with keeping that alive, and were unable to focus on the wii U.

Plus they've got that Sega partnership now, which probably cost a lot of money.

  • Don't let politics be a total eclipse.

They can go on with losses for the next forty years, perhaps only twenty if they're really not being careful.

If there's one thing Nintendo has figured out, is that as long as they have GameCube level of first party quality and volume they will NEVER fail.

(Don't forget, the GameCube was actually profitable despite it being the least popular)

Also, it had one of the best controllers ever, purple colouring be damned.

  • I'm now animating the walking away cycle. Feels discouraging that I'm going to have to keep animating the hero's walking cycles for the next week. At least progress is faster now.

  • Don't worry too much DAISHI, from here on it's only going to get more difficult.

Oh crap, I'm supposed to ENCOURAGE you.

You are a madman. Nintendo controller design has been daft and completely off the wall insane since the N64. The last good controller they designed(and to their credit it was one of the best in the history of the medium) was for the Super Nintendo.
