  • i managed to start the game by running it with windows XP s3 compatibility.

I know the game doesn't support windows 8, but I'm running on windows 7 so is 7 also incompatible?

It should work on Win 7.

    Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)

I suggest you install windows updates and Service Packs, and try if it still crashes without compatibility mode.

If it does, please check if the game crash creates an entry in the
event viewer in the "Windows Logs/Application" section.
If so, right click the entry, select "copy the details as text", and paste them in a new reply.

  • Downloaded on a Mac. When I tried to start the game. I got this message:

“TheWalkingDead” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash."
    Deleted everything and downloaded again.

    Same thing happened.

    This should help:
@Jamdad said: To fix this issue you will need to disable Gatekeeper. To do this, click the Apple logo on the top toolbar and select System Preferences. Now select Security. If the padlock in the bottom left corner of this screen is not open, click on it. You will now see 3 options for downloaded applications, they are: Mac Store, Mac Store and identified developers, and Anywhere. Please select Anywhere and then confirm your selection. Once this is done, please attempt to download the installer from our website. You should no longer see the damaged file messaging.

  • I did as you said and it now works like a charm.
I love it when I learn something new! ;)
