So it's Day Two of the outbreak and already there are zombies that have decayed far worse than anything we saw in Season One.

The prospect of seeing these kinds of zombies in Season Two is interesting. Using them here in a story that is set so early in the timeline is not. It's quite disappointing actually.

Continuity not only in story but in the world is very important. When it's broken like this it has a negative impact on the overall experience.

What might have been a better approach would be to create different sets of zombies for different points in the timeline. To show a steady progression in their decay and to help the sense of time passing.

Maybe that would have increased the download size by too much but the way it's being presented now just doesn't mesh with what we've seen before.

Never really thought about that. It is a very good point.

    Not yet...

    ... and it's only JUNE 18th. ;)

    ... and it's only JUNE 18th. ;) (few thought i'd missed a month...or timetravelled accidently)

    fixed :D

For all we know, these zombies could have just crawled out of their graves (as opposed to the "freshly-killed" variety).

  • right so once something dies from a fast virus/infection of unknown origin... 2 days is somehow out of the realms of possibility for something to rot in hot humid weather ?

and when are these days really happening ?

day 2 for 1 person may not be the same day for others..

if they where in prison/jail...they are pretty shut off from the world..if the infect started out side of the city it will take time for it to spread.

For what its worth, the zombies in that scene in the game itself are fresher.

This happened in Season One as well; there were walkers who looked very decayed after literally dying only minutes before.

Maybe whatever causes the corpses to start walking to begin with also causes them to rapidly decay to a set amount. How it works has never been explained(as far as I've read), so something like that is completely fair game.

They're like that in the promo so people can tell they're definitely zombies, right?
