The Simpsons tapped out

I was curious if anyone has played this simpsons game for the IOS marketing. Alright, homer is busy playing an IOS game at the power plant. His actions for being focused on the game over his job causes the plant explodes and wipe out all of Springfield. So its up to you the player to rebuilt the town. So far the game is fun on one small criticsm.

Don’t pick the grow the corn in cletus’s farm unless if your willing to wait for 90 days. I thought it was 90 hours but I was wrong.

  • What about the limited time stuff? is anyone annoyed that the limited time items that require doughnuts are only limited? If only if there was a little mini game to earn doughnuts without paying for them.

  • NO BECAUSE THEN EA WOULDNT MAKE ANY MONEY OFF OF IT.

And that's the whole point. To make a profit. If you can earn donuts, there's no incentive to buy.

  • @DAISHI said: Yes. That's why they cost donuts. Otherwise moochers would play this game for free and never buy anything.

Does it count if you go on eBay and pay someone to add all the timed release stuff you missed, and they give you a whole bunch of other stuff you didn't ask for like donuts and land expansions?

'cause I swear, that's totally what happened with me.

    Honest!

... Wait, what? Because there is some old unavailable stuff I'd really like...

  • Just search for it on eBay. Not hard to find. Just make sure you go with one who ONLY gives you the old stuff, otherwise you'll really break the game.

  • Yeah, I definitely don't want all the land bought or anything. Very interesting, I'm going to look into (and probably give into the urge) this.

  • I would link to one so people know what these things look like, but I'm on my tablet and I've no idea how to copy-paste things on this. You'll just have to do it yourselves, peeps!

  • If you're on an Android tablet it's press and hold to bring up copy-paste and text search options.

Oh, and I'm following this thread because I used to play Tapped Out but quit because it got so boring. This was before the Android version got friends integration. I'm interested in knowing if there's anything keeping people playing besides the addictiveness of the game.

  • I found one.

I don't think there's anything in particular keeping people playing besides the general addictiveness, no. If building your own nifty Springfield over time doesn't appeal to you, there's nothing new that's going to change your mind.

  • Once you've done all the missions and filled the entire map with houses, I can't imagine there'd be much to do, yeah. Oh well, it could be worse, And really, what do you expect from a free-to-play game?

Oh, and here's a fairly inoffensive listing from eBay, for those too lazy to search for themselves.
