Now I know this will never happen, but...

...what I wouldn't give for a DLC set in those three months between Episode 1 and 2. Just about anything. More survival stuff concerning the original group. Also, an explanation on how Mark ended up with them. Sorry, just replaying the second episode now and I got nostalgic :D But I can't be the only one who's wished for something like that?

  • That was more then likely what it would have been about if it were ever made, which is not going to happen now, the best we can hope if somehow finding the Motor Inn in season 2, and that is not likely.

  • Everything went downhill mid-episode 3 GODAMMIT BEN

  • I can only hope that Season 2 has good enough characters to cure this longing towards the old (dead) ones. Maybe then I'll stop making nostalgic threads like this? Oh wait, the Season 2 characters will probably die too soon too, which will then leave me with TWO sets of characters to cry about. *sigh*. Walking Dead is so ruining my life. :D

  • Well then they should have that as a warning when you buy the Walking Dead, this game will ruin your life.

  • To be honest , i don't think we are ever going to see the motel ever again or see a flashback or a video recording of the group from Jolene's camera for example , because that will be too happy and nostalgic to remember these characters being alive and happy and The Walking Dead has to be sad and these characters to be long forgotten and our last images of them as corpses .

It would certainly be nostalgic, but happy? Far from happy. Say, you see a tender moment with Lee/Clementine/Kenny/Carley/whoeverelseyouliked, and then you're like "oh wait, most of these people are totally dead". In terms of feels it's far better if they don't include anything like this. But I'm still hoping they do. This is the Walking Feels after all.

  • I agree, we all need more of those feel moments, as strange as it sounds we are asking to get emotionally broken down once again, and do that is a good step toward that goal.

  • I agree, i really hate when games do timeskips like that because i desperately want to know what happened(even if nothing at all happened)! Maybe that's just me, though.

  • Though I wouldn't necessarily want to go back and see what happened during the time skip, as we know how it all turns out, I did kind of want to see how our group initially set things up.

I liked the idea of scavenging for supplies, divvying up what weapons we could find, and establishing defenses and group roles, but they got most of that out of the way by the start of Episode 2.

That makes at least two of us. I too wouldn't mind seeing what happened during that timeskip. Whatever it was, it's better than nothing. Scavenging for supplies, staying on watch while chatting with someone, finding medicine for someone who caught a flu, playing a game of football with the kids, fuck it, I'd take it, pay for it even, with zero regrets.
