How long will it last?

If Tavia's community is becomes an important plot point in S2, how long do you all it is going to last? Seeing as every community in The Walking Dead gets screwed over once the protagonists become a part of it (seriously, the protagonists of the comic are total bad luck charms).

  • Who said Season 2 was taking place at the settlement?

    *mindfuck*

  • Hopefully not more than 20 minutes.

  • We've seen a settlement in the entire Walking Dead series way too many times. I hope they stick to less secure places like The Motor Inn, it gives more intensity to the story. I LOVED the Motor Inn Arc

  • Yes the episodes with the Motor Inn were my favorite

  • In the words of Molly, "In the end, the dead always win."

IMO, I guess it would depend on how secure the place is and the kind of community it is. Hopefully not the "Crawford" kind. I don't to be there for only a short moment, but I don't think I'd want to be there the whole season either.

  • I reckon they will give us enough time to get attached to the place and the characters therein. 2-3 episodes maybe. Then everything fucks up and people start dying left and right. And off I go to the forums to cry about it on the forums. Again. It'll happen, I'm telling ya.

Or it might fall at the very beginning, but I doubt it. At least I hope not. I've really grown fed up with the cliche beginnings of games that as soon as the protagonist arrives somewhere safe, everything goes to shit moments later.

I agree. This is why I love the way TT did Crawford, too: instead of a functioning settlement like Woodbury in the show, Crawford is a failed society that has crumbled due to poor leadership. Fucking awesome, and much more interesting, I think.

That said, it would be boring to see a Crawford redux in S2, but it would be cool to see Tavia's settlement thrive briefly, and then fall to the walkers. Kind of like what happened in the Pharmacy in Episode 1, but on a much bigger scale. 'twould be badass indeed.

  • I'd say about 2 episodes. That way the first 1 can focus on getting us used to the place and the characters in it and the second one things can start to get a bit pear-shaped. If they haven't already left the settlement by the end of episode 2, they'll be out by the start of episode 3.

  • I think it is going to be the first episode.

I think the protagonist is going to be one of the residents, some things will go down, and the protagonist will be forced to leave along with the characters introduced in the 400 Days DLC.

Eh... That sounds too much like what happened with the Motor Inn.
