In case you missed it, The Expanse: A Telltale Series is now available on Steam, and that also means we’re eligible for nomination in this year’s Steam Awards!

We’re immensely proud of what we’ve achieved with The Expanse: A Telltale Series and it would mean the world to us to be considered for Outstanding Story-Rich Game Award and/or Best Soundtrack.

All you need to vote is a Steam account, and you can either use your Steam client, search for The Expanse and click the Steam Awards banner, or click here. You have until November 28th to make your nominations!

You don’t need to have played the game on Steam (although we’d love it if you did!), so don’t worry if you jumped in when we launched on PlayStation, Xbox and the Epic Games Store.

That’s all five episodes, available right now for you to binge all in one go, or spread out for the original episodic experience.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series is set before the events of the critically acclaimed and award-winning television series. Players take on the role of Camina Drummer (played by actress Cara Gee in both the game and TV series), the XO of a scavenger crew on the hunt for a mysterious treasure on the edges of The Belt. As Drummer, players must deal with a mix of powerful personalities, square off against a bloody mutiny, explore locations beyond The Belt and, most of all, make tough decisions that will decide the fate of The Artemis crew. Scour shipwrecks, use mag boots to walk on walls and ceilings, and utilize Zero-G thrusters to float through sections of ships and the open expanse of space in the largest and most immersive exploration of any Telltale game to date. 

The bonus episode, Archangel, stars Shohreh Aghdashloo, reprising her role as Chrisjen Avasarala, Secretary-General of the United Nations. Archangel offers a brand new perspective on The Expanse: A Telltale Series, where players will experience a fateful day in the life of Chrisjen Avasarala by managing conflicts across the solar system and battling wits with rival politicians, all while navigating family drama on a day that will change her life forever.

The Avasalara-led DLC episode for The Expanse: A Telltale Series is out now!

The DLC episode, “Archangel,” follows the famously salty UN diplomat Chrisjen Avasarala (played by fan-favorite and all around awesome person, Shohreh Aghdashloo) in a high stakes event that also takes place before events in the Amazon Prime show.

Where the mainline game puts you in Drummer’s magboots, surviving in deep space, this is a much more grounded experience as you navigate Earth’s halls of power on a very important day.

We’re going to avoid spoilers here, but that’s not going to stop us from showing the trailer and some brand news shots from inside the episode.

We won’t go into spoilers, but one thing we want to drive home about this series is that it has not been about just what you say or some decisions you make – it is also about what you found while exploring. It could’ve been an item in some wreckage or a hidden detail uncovered in someone’s files. As you conclude your story, try it again. See what you might’ve missed. See which paths you can open up differently with your decisions and what you can find. See who survives to the end (or doesn’t).

With every new episode that comes out, we’re going behind the scenes with Behind the Belt. Katy Bentz and Darren Gladstone hang out with members of the team, sharing stories about how The Expanse: A Telltale Series got made.

EPISODE 5: EUROPA’S FOLLY + ARCHANGEL DLC
Katy Bentz chats 1-on-1 with Game Director Stephan Frost about Episode 5 of The Expanse: A Telltale Series, as well as looking back on the whole series and forward to the bonus episode Archangel. EPISODE 3: FIRST ONES
Narrative Director Jonathan Zimmerman talks about what it was like creating the backstory of The Cassiopeia Collective…right before we declare him a monster for the decisions we had to make in Episode 3. UPDATE: The Expanse Release Schedule and Episode Help

We’re updating the release schedule for the remaining episodes of The Expanse: A Telltale Series…and, after seeing some of the questions people had about how to access episodes, we wanted to help answer your questions.

First, we’ve had to slightly adjust the launch times for the game to accommodate some backend concerns. We apologize if this means that the game is unlocking for you a few hours later than previously stated.

We’ve broken it out, per platform, so that you have all the information that matters for you.

If you need further help, we’re here for you! Just follow the support instructions at the bottom of this page. Short version: Hit the blue “?” support button in the lower right corner.

HOW TO FIND YOUR EPISODES ON XBOX:

Open up the Game Card for The Expanse: A Telltale Series.
Alternatively, Open up The Expanse: A Telltale Series from the Store Page.
Go to Manage Games and Add ons.
You should see the new episodes listed there.
If there are any unchecked episodes, select to download.
Select Save Changes.

If you’re still having problems:

Try uninstalling / reinstalling the episode.
Try doing a clean reinstall of the game.
If you still can’t access the episode, hit the blue “?” support button in the lower right corner of this page. Tell them which digital store you got your code from, the region you’re in, and what version of the game you have.

HOW TO FIND YOUR EPISODES ON PLAYSTATION:

If new episodes don’t download on PS4:

In your library, click on the tile for The Expanse: A Telltale Series.
Click on Playstation Store button at the bottom.
Move over to the “add-on” and select.
From there, you should see the episodes available to download.

If new episodes don’t download on PS5:

In your Game Library, click on the tile for The Expanse: A Telltale Series.
There should be a tile on the right side showing the other episodes listed as “FREE.”
From there, you should see the episodes available to download.

Another PS5 method:

On Home Screen, highlight game.
Hit the Options button
Select Manage Game Content

If you’re still having problems:

Try uninstalling / reinstalling the episode.
Try doing a clean reinstall of the game.
If you still can’t access the episode, hit the blue “?” support button in the lower right corner of this page. Tell them which digital store you got your code from, the region you’re in, and what version of the game you have.

HOW TO FIND YOUR EPISODES ON PC:

New episodes should automatically patch into the game on PC, as long as it’s past 12am PT on the specified day, noted in the image above.
There may be a slight delay after the server goes live.
