Need help running Curse of Monkey Island

Windows XP Professional SP3.

By setting Win95 compatibility I have gotten it to run mostly fine, but cutscenes still cause it to crash.

It is a SmushDS error.

And don't say SCUMMvm, I'd like to keep my saved games.

you can keep your saved games with SCUMMVM, though, just gotta move/rename 'em.

ScummVM stores every saved game independently, besides it's the best way to play it nowadays.

sorry but most likely you're gonna have to cave and use scummvm. at least you wont need to have the cd in now :)
