Downloading to more than one computer?

Hi,

just wondering if there is anything preventing you from just letting everyone you know go on your account and download the game to there computer? Im not asking so I can, im just wondering because this could be a big flaw?
I dont know much because this is my first download from telltale.

If you have a really, really, really trifling need for it - you can ask Telltale support to increase your limit.

Unless they suspect you of foul play.

I just find it a bit weird that you could let a least a few people download the game for free of your account?

and yeah, you possibly could do that, but you don't, cause you love telltale so much and don't wanna betray them.

You will never reach that limit unless you give away your serial number on a filesharing site.
I personally let 2 of my friends and my cousin use the games on my account. No problems so far.
The limit was 20 or something like that.

Is that even legal or accepted from TTG? I mean, if it is, I'd love to let one of my friends play. Otherwise, I would not ever share my account. My pirating days are wayyyyyyy over...

In other news, I expect my computer to break down forever any day now. So, a second installation and verification of the game might be just around the corner. I just hope my old machine makes it to Windows 7... ;)

You can unlock the game without your account (use the serial number instead).

I have been a serious gamer for many years now (bought Maniac Mansion for the C64, MI2 and Indy 4 for the amiga, and have several games down in the basement for PC that run on floppy discs), and i would say that around 75% of my games have been borrowed out to friends so they could try them.
It would imo be just fine if only 1 person at a time can run the game (i assume Steam do a check like that on the account for example, but not sure) but would suck if digital distribution = no way to let people borrow your games.

You can download to more than one computer at a time. I've done it, downloading some of S&M season 2 to my laptop since I was on a trip, and then downloaded the same episodes again, plus the rest of the season to my desktop when I got home, so my brother could play it when he visited. Telltale's pretty cool about it. I don't think they'd appreciate it if you gave it away to twenty of your nearest and dearest at a time, but if you let a couple of friends or family members download it so they can see what it's like I'm sure they won't mind. After all, they might love it so much they want to buy the season themselves.

I tend to think of buying a game is buying it for your family. So within the same house seems like a good rule. I make friends buy their own copies, although I'm not above lending out my game dvd, cuz I know they'll have to give it back. :)

I really doubt we're gonna get a reply from Telltale telling us it's okay to share our copy of the game on multiple computers. While a copy on a desktop and one on a laptop is the generally tolerated norm (it was at Microsoft back when I worked there), they're not going to condone it officially.

I let my brother living in London, use my account because he's rather poor atm. I think that's perfectly fine. I wouldn't give it to friends because I'd rather persuade them to pay for it themselves.
