So, Telltale has said Culture Shock will be 75 MB, but the version on GameTap is around 290 MB. I'm just curious about the difference.

GameTap's version downloads to you uncompressed, whereas the one you get from us will be in a very tightly packed installer file. It's the same data in both versions, we're just zipping it up first, more or less.

Why doesn't GameTap support compressed downloads?

You'd have to ask them that question, but my guess is that it has to do with how they're encrypting the game.

I guess 290 MB is basically the game "after installation" on GameTap. 75 MB from Telltale is the pre-installation (highly compressed) size.

Yes, that's roughly the post-installation size.
