Audio bug

Was partway through the episode when the voices cut out on me, I'm still fiddling with my speakers and audio settings in the computer to see if it's not a problem with the game but I REALLY don't want to have to just read the subtitles so if anybody has any ideas what might've happened (and if I have any option better than simply re-installing) I'd be greatly appreciative.

As suddenly as it appears it seems to have fixed itself, about the only thing I did that was different from what it was before is shut a tab that had a youtube video in it, maybe the audio got messed up (was alt tabbed out of the game at the time) when I watched the video (even though it didn't mess up for another 5-10 minutes). ah well

This thread is now about how awesome it is that monkey island has come back to life.
