getting annoyed...

I can't seem to figure out how you make it so that you can only see what you've written until someone clicks on it. Like, that little dotty box that you usually put spoilers in. Can someone help?

Basically you put the word spoiler in the following brackets [ ] at the beginning of your sentance.

Then when you've finished writing whatever you want hidden, you end it with [/spoiler]

I don't understand how you can try to figure out how somebody posts something, and have it not occur to you that the "quote" button will copy their code for you to look at...

Just so this is all on one forum, spoilers which was just taught aboce,
Urls you do the same as the spoilers except instead of typing spoiler you type in url and in the middle were the spoiler is, you just typw in the link,
