Tales of Monkey Island - Starting

Hello I spent time to download the game and paid it already. Now after having clicked Launch Game I receive a Microsoft error message
saying that the game had to be ended... I have already disabled by anti virus software, but still it does not work..
Can anyone please please help me, I have waited 15 years for this game.

Most likely a simple DirectX error:

Install this and you should be good to go:

Edit: You can find the gruesome details at http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9123 . But not everybody who has that problem gets that error message (I didn't).
