Getting Curse of Monkey Island to run

After having beat The Siege of Spinner Cay today I was waxing nostalgiac and wanted to play through my favorite Monkey Island game, The Curse of Monkey Island. I tried installing it on my Windows XP computer and was disheartened to find out that it wouldn't even install. Has anyone else had any problems running this game on XP? I'm not sure if I'm willing to jump through too many hoops to run this old game as my time is kind of limited (back in the day I would have), but if there's a quick and easy fix let me know.

Hm. Have you tried browsing the CD, right-clicking on setup.exe and setting it to run in Win98 compatibility mode?

You don't have to install it, just copy all files from both cd's to a hard drive and use a scummvm to play.

Download this (http://quick.mixnmojo.com/cmi-setup) after downloading launch the downloaded file, after following instructions it will tell you to insert the disk and should install correctly, the only problem you still may face after installing is the voice looping sometimes, to fix this set the COMI.exe file (not the curse.exe file) to windows 95 compatability mode.

2.As stated copy everything to hardrive and use SCUMMVM to play it
