View Full Version : Tales of MI Ch.1 crashing with .dll error.

I downloaded the free Tales of Monkey Island episode and every time I try to launch it I get this d3d9x_41.dll error. I have the latest version of DirectX and everything so I don't get what is up. Any suggestions?

As far as i remember the fix for this is to reinstall DirectX from the Full Download Version. You can get it here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=04ac064b-00d1-474e-b7b1-442d8712d553).

I just found the original post about that issue (http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9123). It looks like you can use the web updater as well. If that doesn't work i would however try the Full Download anyway.
