Figured I could make DeCava's crew jump into the water to collect the gold instead of fighting with me. :)

Oh wait, it worked! :O .. I honestly just tried it and did not actually get the idea that the leviathan would swallow De Cavas ship. :P

Same here. I wasn't even going to use the Seahorse head at first but my adventuring instincts forced me otherwise.

Simon The Sorcerer 2 has the dumbest combination by far.

Use ... Dog .. With .. Feet ...

Dooh. No chance to guess that Simon would actually use magic to turn the dog into slippers.

But wait, this thread was about dumb combination one does as a gamer, not as a developer :P

Oh yeah, I still remember that. It's probably the worst/hardest (however you want to see it) puzzle, or stumper in all of adventure gaming history.

Edit: Only now I realised it's some kind of Hush Puppies joke? I don't know, I'm not american..

I've got an embarrassing story about that one.

I was stuck on this for ages, and as this was before we had access to the internet the only way that I could get an answer was to call a hint line.
Eventually I gave in and called up. I told the guy on the other end where I was, and what I was carrying. When I mentioned the "quiet puppies" suddenly I got it without being told, told the guy on the other end thanks but never mind, and hung up XD

I did, but I forgot what happened. Did you use Morgans sword first thing on Santino so it didn't work?
