Wii / TV font size way too small [Archive]

Hi there.

I purchased the 1st episode for my Wii and while the general impression is OK, the font size is just horrible.
After having fun and largely ignoring the issue in the intro, I have now stopped playing because the font is way to small (you now REALLY small).
Sad thing -- the controls are good, the audio OK, the animations work well, but 40% of the words in the displayed texts are just not readable from a comfortable Wii/TV distance. (I have a "normal" 50Hz PAL flatscreen TV set)

I would like the fonts to be at least 2x better 3x the size they are at the moment.

I am fairly certain (not 100%) that in the second episode the font size is larger.

Are you sure you're not just meant to be playing it on a 50-inch plasma TV?

Sam and Max had the same problem, with fonts to small to read, and often placed on a similarly coloured background.

Maybe their monitor font is too small! They mis-read it.... :rolleyes:

The font does get larger in 102. In 101 though, I'm afraid we are stuck with the font as is.

I have 102 but the fonts are still too small for wii :( Would be nice if they let us modify the settings for the subtitles

Really, the fonts were pretty big in tales for both chapters for me.

It would be really nice if people could accompany statements such as these with a note about their hardware. I can't imagine anyone calling the font of episode 1 pretty big :)

Anyways. I would like to add to this thread that I have since bought the PC version on steam and it's great! Not looking back to any TV version!
