When unfolded the map gives you the feast instructions
Notice anything else when the map is unfolded
We can refold the map along different lines to connect the map up differently
You need to get to the red idol on the map
Now you need to change the map again to get to a previously inaccessible position "?"
Refold the map in its original format
Oooh a chest, with a lock, what do we do with locks :)

Leave the screen. The newly refolded map indicates that going out of the red idol area leads to a big Question Mark.

Then re-fold the map. This can be done by clicking on the corners, then top and bottom, till you get a path to it.

okay, I have followed all the instructions but I cannot find the red idol on the jungle. am i doing something wrong? the ground shakes but nothing is happening.

Look, it is really very simple. Just fold the map so that you can get to the red idol. Then fold it again when you are there so that you can get from there to the question mark.

What you have to understand is that the area changes as you fold the map; so your goal is to fold it so that a way to the red idol opens first, and then refold it to get from the red idol to thequestion mark.

I am Stuck @ the purple Idol when I try to go to green

I've folded exactly like 108 Stars did in picture 1.
But when I walk down, nothing happends

What am I doing wrong ?

Did you follow the direction of the arrow on the map or the direction of the path? One is correct. One is wrong.

Maybe you are using the wrong exit? Look closely on the map; from purple you must take the path leading DOWN to get to green.

I'm a bit stuck with the first idol, it's in unbreakable glass and I can't open it. In Chapter 1 there was this breaking device but I can't get it from that guy again. Could anyone give me a hint on that please? I've been at it for a while now but just running in circles :)

You don´t have to do anything with the idols in this chapter, just fold the map so that you can get to the red one (see my pic) and then refold to get to the question mark.

Ah ok thanks :) I thought I had to rotate the idols to match the facial expressions on the map like in the last chapter :) That really had me stuck for like 2 hours.

Hi I also have this same issue. The map is folded correctly showing the path south from purple that bends up to green. In order to reach green I need to follow the path south from the purple Idol. I am at the purple idol, the map shows the path to green, the ground shook when I folded the map as required at the jungle entrance, however when I go south nothing happens. He doesn't walk back and say there is no path, he just goes offscreen and that's it. I can walk northwards back into view. Very frustrating!

Just for clarity I am trying to go purple idol to green idol and I have both top and bottom map folds folding inwards so the map looks like this <###>

Am I just doing something completely stupid?

If anyone is still stuck, here's my guide.

Okay,stand in the town (that's where i started) open the map up, so you can see the recipe. Next, click on the four corners to fold them down. Now click on the top and bottom and fold them down. You should now have a six sided shaped map.

Now, enter the jungle, and take the bottom left road, taking you to a screen with a skeleton (represented by a skull on the map). Nex
Next, Go right To a screen with the Altar (represented on the map by a table)
Next, go right again to a screen with A Stone block on the grass (represented by a wierd square on the map)
Next, Go right again to a stone idol, with a purple shell around it (again, shown on map)
From here, go down to a green idol.
Next, go up a screen to a red idol. Here, unfold the map entirely, so you have the recipe screen. Then just fold the top/bottom down, leaving you with a rectangle. Exit your inventory and you should feel the jungle rumble. Go left, and you should see a treasure chest.

ive done wot u said but going down from purple doesn't do anything you just keep walking so your out of screen but never move on to the next screen

none of those walkthroughs on you tube ever show guybrush picking up the tarot cards ok part 6 does but i copy it exactly spawn in in voodoo shack complately fold map corners all etc like video shows walk out left to stone then right to purple idol but you still can't go down to the green idol which the video clearly shows u been able to do my game must be buggy

Hmm.. What can I say? It seems that you've been doing everything right. It worked for me the way you've done it.

I trust that you have tried folding/refolding at the spot where you're at (with the appropriate rumbling effects) and that you have tried approaching the bottom exit from different angles. Not that it should be necessary, but still...

Worst case, it seems you may have to resort to reinstalling the game.

Have you tried exitting the jungle and then re-entering and trying again?
