Can anyone tell me if they know whether or not the Tales of Monkey Island is to be released as a proper game for Xbox or PC anytime soon????????

I think it already IS a more-than-proper game for PC.

If you mean as a full-length game sold in shops, it seems unlikely, as Telltale have never done that before. However, since Tales is one long story in parts, and is part of a series in which all the other games have been released in shops, it's a possibility.

Yes they have. Telltale are just verrrrry slow at getting to retail releases. Tales will be on shop shelves eventually, after a few years. Though it might take a significantly shorter time than Sam & Max did, given that they'll already have a publisher available in the form of LucasArts.

By "proper", our buddy up there means "in one executable", because you know how much of a difference that makes.

I bought Sam & Max Season 1 at Best Buy, and that was only about six months after the digital release finished. (It might have been on shelves sooner - I just didn't have a computer that could run it until then.)
