Where's the dead tree?

It's supposed to be in the Crossroads somewhere. I've been going through the "did you try" list but I can't find a dead tree. It's mentioned a couple of times. I didn't post this in the hints thread because I've already played it through, this is just for my own amusement.

It's on the far right of the little Crossroads island, kind of hidden in the dark.

I never did get to here what the whole phrase was. I clicked it, and then accidentally knocked my WLAN switch off, which kicked me out the game temporarily.

I'd guess some other app started complaining about the lack of network connection and popped up a message to that effect, stealing the focus from the game and dropping him back to the desktop temporarily...

It basically chucked me out to give me a message saying "WLAN switch has turned off"

Strange. The only thing that happened when I clicked on the tree was that the music stopped..

If you add enough brightness then it's not that hidden anymore.

Chapter 5 was the only chapter in game where I adjusted my monitor settings just to make sure I don't miss anything accidentally, although I didn't go as far as to use full brightness setting, because that would have ruined the dark atmosphere of the Crossroads.
