If you don't mind getting it second-hand, it's much cheaper on eBay.
I got my copy there for about €20, if I recall correctly. Maybe less.

I know it isn't a LucasArts game, but I've seen copies of the Neverhood go for over £400. Insane, really. There aren't that many copies floating around, I guess.

Thing is, you can get Curse of Monkey Island in a budget range for $10 Australian, so it's probably less elsewhere.

I'm not sure if you are actually looking to buy Curse, or if you're merely curious to know how much people are trying to sell it for.

If the latter is true, then Amen, because Curse is an awesome game. However, if you really are looking to buy it, I found a NEW copy of Curse being sold at Overstock.com for $26.

Oh, and make sure to use ScummVM when installing/running the game. Doing so not only guarantees compatibility, but also runs the game such that you don't need the CD's inserted.

You don't necessarily have to wait for a special edition, you can find copies on ebay for $20-40.

Oh, and the page says "Satisfaction guaranteed" too. So yeah, people who don't have Curse yet, buy this! :)

I still don't like stock photos though. "Condition: Excellent" doesn't say too much, I'd rather see the state for myself.

Also, what does the seller mean with "Complete with artwork"? That the manual is included, or was there some sort of art book included?

I don't know. People can contact sellers and ask, I think. I generally am willing to take a risk on packaging, honestly, but if it matters a lot to you then checking the description of the items and asking the seller directly aren't bad ways to go.

I bought The Neverhood at a computer fair in the UK for 50p knowing how rare it was and trying not to let the seller know! He had a stack of about 10 copies, just the disk in the jewel case with instructions. Looks like they were originally planned to be bundled with new PC systems or something. Perfect condition, only thing missing was the big box.

Anyway, I recently interviewed Doug TenNapel (http://alternativemagazineonline.co.uk/2010/04/09/interview-in-conversation-with-doug-tennapel-graphic-novelist/) (the game's designer) on my site AMO and it is a shame that he worked so hard on the game and it was a relative flop. Having said that it managed to get two sequels on PS1 I think!
