No Win2K support?

Is there really no Win2K support in Sam & Max? And if, why? (as there's only absolutely marginal difference between XP and 2K)

I downloaded the demo with this downloader thingy... tried installing, installer exited with saying a word...
If it doesn't work, any program should at least show a message window...

We have not tested the game on Win 2k, so it's not a supported operating system, but as far as I know the game runs okay on it. At least, this is the first I've heard of this particular problem. Did you try it a second time (maybe after a reboot), and if so, did the same thing happen?

Well, i got a different solution...maybe I had too less free space on C:. After some system cleaning i tried again, and it worked. Still, some kind of information why the setup stopped would be nice...
