My best advice for you is to get the hell outta here, and bathe in a paperclip bowl. But if you're gonna hang around, you gotta know who to talk to, and who to flat out ignore.

First off, talking to yourself is encouraged on these forums, don't be ashamed. Second, it is in your best interest to ignore any responses from anyone with "pants" in their username. That's just creepy. Third, be friendly, and get friendly. Fourth, the best user on here is always yourself. Always.

My wife's brother used to do stuff to try to be an outsider in high school.

Then, he went to college and realized that a lot of other people do the same thing in the same way for the same reasons... which means at some level if you are trying hard not to fit in with the crowd, then you are still fitting in with people, just picking a different group.

The only thing more interesting than the most interesting of villains is the most interesting of heroes.

The movie Amadeus comes close to succeeding at having both, with a villain as despicable as Frollo and a hero as sympathetic as Quasimodo. Also the hero of this movie is played by the guy who played Quasimodo. He's so happy and cheerful, and that's why I wanted him to represent me and my personality on these forums, whereas before, I was representing Frollo as my favorite villain. So both avatars have opposite purposes, and are ironically of opposite character types.

It was starting to feel annoying. anyways, I fixed it, but I got a screenie to remember it by. I can bring it back if I want, though.


I don't know exactly how it happened, but I created a screenshot from the game with mspaint and gave it a 372x502 size. After saving it, I moved the part of the image I wanted to the top left corner and dragged the canvas to the size I wanted and resized the image to 50x50 (at least I think that's how I did it.) It seemed to have t same effect on the forums whether I uploaded it directly or linked to it via imageshack.

I could tinker with it further and try to recreate it, but I think I've had enough fun for now.

And now that you mention it, that's probably why the avatar version is less creepy: the eyelashes all more-or-less blur together.
