Microsoft Game room

The new feature for the 360/PC is out now, Microsoft game room. It is an app that you download then you can play old arcade games on your computer or your xbox, your choice.
So uh, what do you guys think about it.

If Street Fighter III 3rd strike is on there with online I would buy it twice.

Seems like a rip off of playstation home, because of the avatars playing virtual arcade machines. But if Microsoft is bringing back classics, I'm all for it.

You don't even walk around. It is essentially a 3D menu.

New feature? I presume that this is an arcade emulator. If only they weren't years too late on this kind of thing. Haven't they had emulators for arcade games for years? I've never played any, but I definitely wouldn't pay on something I spent so many quarters for in the 90's!

I have the client on both platforms. I went through the selection...it's fairly poor, at the moment. Still, the option to buy for Xbox or Games for Windows Live or both at a discounted rate is nice, I guess? I don't know what Microsoft are going for with Games for Windows Live, really. They seem to be both gunning for Steam and trying for PC/360 integration at the same time, and they're not really succeeding with either. Still, I did buy Arkham Asylum from them when they had the 75% off deal. The terms of the download and the activation requirements are actually very reasonable.

I've downloaded the Xbox client but I don't think I'll be using it much, apart from maybe demoing the odd game. I might buy a game if it's one I really missed playing and still enjoy playing but I doubt there will be many.

To the peole here who own game room. I have been having problems with it(and TF2 and wallace and gromit and my dsi) and needed a little help. I cant open the challanges menu. It says something on communication settings are disabled, how do I enable it so I can challange people and vice versa.
