Well, if it's kept between just two people then they're more likely to get pissed off with each other and the problem is less likely to be resolved.

In my opinion, David E shouldn't have locked that thread. However, he wasn't intentionally doing anything wrong when he did, so forgive and forget, shake and makeup, etc.
