In the past, telltale has cited the DS's poor graphical quality to be the reason that their games didn't go there. Would the extreamly enhanced graphics of the 3DS remedy this?

I believe those were developed by a different studio with a different engine and were only semi-related to the Telltale versions for the PC and consoles.

This is correct information. In fact, they are even entirely separate cases. They are related in name only.

I didn't planned to buy a Nintendo 3DS, but if Telltale starts making games for it, I'll buy one for sure.

I think there's a decent chance that the 3DS will end up on TTGYare's "more powerful than Wii" list, somewhere between an iPhone and a Toaster, so something like Puzzle Agent or SBCG4AP shouldn't be totally out of the question.

It wasn't a toaster. It was a microwave (http://instantrimshot.com/). Personally, I'd love if they released something for the 3DS. Eventually. I'm guessing they won't want to bother when they've just started working on the ipad and iphone. And if they do it I want some gorgeous 3D art that's got a great style and wonderful environments. And I want a pony, and my own personal airship, and every day to be Christmas, and ... oh. Sorry.
But yeah, I'd love to see what TTG could do on the 3DS! :D

I want a 3DS, but I need a little more info on it first, such as does it have DSIware, and if it does, can I transfer my DSIware account over, because I'd hate to buy all that again...
I'd definately want any game Telltale release on a DS system though!

I'll probably be getting a 3DS reguardless of TTG (darn you Zelda!), but it would be the cream on the cake. Imagine Playing Tales in 3D!
Personally, i would like to see TTG, if they did make 3DS games to do both Downloadable (if it has a decent harddrive & size limit) and Cartridge.

I'll prolly be getting a 3DS, how soon I get one depends on the price Nintendo seem fit to put on it. And i'm guessing it's gonna be a fair bit as they're not talking about pricing yet but it'll be out by the end of the year

Why would you prefer the fat version, may I ask? The DS Lite and DSi have brighter screens, thinner frames, and in the case of the DSi a bunch of new software features, including a downloadable games marketplace. I guess if playing Game Boy Advance games is your biggest priority with the thing, but honestly I think my GBA SP is better for that purpose and it goes back farther than a single generation.

I think the 3DS is great, but I like the design they have now for it. I don't know what more they could do to it in the future to make me want to buy a different version.
Anyway as far as the Phat, yes, it was mostly the GBA slots although I do still own my SP. But mainly I just like it more. It looks badass in it's design, with its silver and black, its the original DS, and there's nothing about the Lites and i's that I care about or want bad enough to rebuy for. I definitely didn't care about the DSiWare, I mean there was nothing remotely interesting on it and now it's already outdated. I've had my Phat ever since the DSLite came out, and it has stayed functional and hasn't lost its juice yet; and when the 3DS comes out, I plan to still use it to play my DS games anyway.
In fact, I liked the Phat so much more that I had a choice between getting it or waiting a week and getting a Lite and I got a Phat instead.

He was implying that as He prefers the Phat to the lite/i/iXL he'll preffer the 3DS phat over the inevitable 3DS lite/i/XL (or whatever they'll be called)
But, i think there is plenty of room for improvement with the 3DS, mainly in the 3D technology. It's still in it's infancy, and as various people have said, the viewing angle is quite narrow. Move your head too much, and you loose the efefct, and get a headache. I can't see the 3DS as it stands being very good on Buses (in 3D at least).
An improvement to that would be the only thing that would make me consider buying more than one model. I bought the Lite for the brighter screens (and didn't look back), and i bought the DSi for it's support of my router settings (turns out that was only for the Shop channel), and DSiware (which underdelivered, and given that my camera doesn't work anymore, is useless to me)
For the DS's in aesthetics: Phat>Lite>XL>i
For performance/price: Lite>Phat>i>XL

I agree that the DSi revision was pointless, but the lite revision, whilst unecessary, was definately worthwhile. The colours became far more vivid, and the change was far bigger than i thought it would be. I don't think i could go back to the Phats screen. Just like i can't go back to the original GBA's screen.

I look at the chain this way:
There was the phat one (Lite is just another spinoff), then the DSi (XL is the spinoff) and then the 3DS(which makes it the third). The 3DS is like the difference between the N64 and some sort of machine inbetween the Wii and the Gamecube. It also has new games, which means that the phat actually will become obsolete and out-dated. I deffinatly would like to be able to carrie my DSiWare library over, though.

Theres a fair few short games on DSiware, but there are no Fully fledged retail DSi games, and about 20 that are slightly DSi-enhanced (mostly shovelware titles). It was a complete dissapointment.
If you've never tried playing a lite, you'll find the 3DS an even bigger step up than it is, seeing as it'll have brighter screens that the lite. It'll make the games look extra impressive for you!

Yes, the 3DS is a new generation console not just a console revision. Also, the Phat is the same as the lite except it has a brighter screen and twice the battery life. That was the major reason why I wanted one. I still have a Phat, but I'm longing for a lite. Lites still have GBA compatibility as well.

I'm not sure if I've said it yet, but I'll start putting money aside when it comes out, unless I'm not done saving for my next computer (I should be done saving in a year and a half) in which case I'll start saving then.
By the time I have the money it should be cheaper and have more games available.

The 3DS does sound interesting. I'd like to see the 3D function before I commit to buying one, but who am I kidding I'd probably get one anyway when it comes out. I got my DSphat on the day it came out, although I had a bit more money then...

I would like to see this list. And the unfortunate fanboy in me has to point out that unless the list is a joke, which of course would be "hilarious" in the sense that everyone makes jokes about the Wii, then only really the companies that can't seem to break onto the Wii, something which seems to be monumentally easy considering the vast majority of successful shovelware it has, are the ones who feel the need to badmouth the specs.
Of course I try to keep that fanboy repressed as much as possible, it tends to get in the way of good games.

The wii isn't as easy to break in to as you think. The shovelware games are, with a few notable exceptions (mainly Nintendo games), the only games that sell well. Even then, they don't sell that much, but the low development costs make the appealing to devs. More than a few devs have backed away from the system. (although they seem to keep coming back)
It doesn't bother me that much though. The only games I play on wii are Nintendo ones, or Adventure gamesOthers are often superior on the HD consoles (online, lack of motion controls etc).

However Nintendo rules on portable games and i kinda think they got better quality games on portable games than their counterparts. They even have better games than their Wii console!

Heh, yeah I have to agree with you there. Most of my games are Nintendo games, although there's a few good others out there. I remember reading a good analogy, which was worded something like "You can't starve someone, and then complain when their corpse doesn't eat your 5 star meal". Basically lots of developers jumped on the party game bandwagon, and then were somehow shocked when, several years later when they decided to try and make proper games, no one was buying them.
So is it really hard for developers? The Wii, in conjunction with the DS, has literally made Nintendo more money than God and although they are losing momentum, 10% off of hundreds of millions still leaves them with hundreds of millions. The point I'm getting at is that people out there are buying games for it. My sister has bought quite a bit of shovelware for her sons and games like Just Dance and Carnival Fun Games (ugh) seem to do really well. I just automatically assumed that with the low development costs and high user base many companies would at least break even with games on the Wii. It is possibly the safest console to test waters with.
Also curse you LuigiHann! I wanted a list. You have left me list-less :(

Well, the wii console itself sells for a rather hefty profit (around $70 i think), which is unusual, as most consoles sell for a loss (like the PS3, sony looses money on every unit sold, but makes money on license fees from dev companies for their games). The Wii's issue is that it may have 70 million od users, but only a small portion of that buy games regularly. Which is why the low-budget games are so popular amongst devs: they only need a few thousand sales to get their money back.

Here's what we know for sure: Hardcore gamers enjoy games that are funny and/or cool. That's why you get big sales for Gears of War on Xbox 360 because it's really cool and most Xbox 360 customers are hardcore gamers. Casual gamers like games with licensed characters that they recognize. That's why you get big sales for games like Mario or Ghostbusters on Wii because those names are recognizable and Wii is mostly casual gamers.
3DS is going to attract a combination of hardcore and casual gamers that neither Xbox or Wii has been able to get. So that means if the hardcore 3DS owners see TellTale is developing the games, they'll buy it b/c Telltale is known for making games that are funny and cool. And when the casual 3DS owners see awesome licenses like Jurassic Park and Back to the Future, they'll but it because they recognize those names.
If Telltale pushes games like those out for 3DS let's start the sales at a couple million and go up from there
