I'm playing Sam & Max Season 3, Ep. 1 on a one month old Windows 7 PC with the latest Direct X and the picture looks fuzzy (like watching TV with the cable loose) even on with the graphics on the highest setting. Is there some way to fix this?

Are you possibly referring to the film grain effect (http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16187)?
It is described here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_grain), if you don't know what i mean.
Otherwise please attach a screenshot and a dxdiag log.
dxdiag
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.
Then zip the file (http://www.howtozip.com/indexsubmenu.asp?submenu=windows_-_compressed_folder_1) and attach it to a reply in this Thread.

If you don't experience this with past Sam & max seasons, I'll bet it's the film grain effect.

Yeah, it's deliberate. Makes the game look like a B-movie. Some don't notice it after a while, others find it really distracting. Doesn't bother me personally, but I wish Telltale would give more graphics options than "1 - 9".

Yeah, I know. It should at least go to 11.

I wish that movie was just a bit funnier.
