d3dx9_41.dll missing - ToMI DVD won't run!

I just got my Tales of Monkey Island DVD. When putting it in the DVD drive, autorun started - and immediately stopped, presenting the following message:


This application has failed to start because d3dx9_41.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.

I tried it on both a Windows XP laptop and a Windows Vista laptop. Help!

Are your Graphics drivers up to date and did you run the DirectX updater (http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3)?

Please also post a dxdiag log.

Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.

Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.

Then zip the file (http://www.howtozip.com/indexsubmenu.asp?submenu=windows_-_compressed_folder_1) and attach it to a reply in this Thread.

If a file is missing, try reinstalling.
