Hell as a corporate/business entity has been a common theme in entertainment ever since demeaning, soul-crushing office jobs became a common means of earning one's living. Look at any light-hearted Japanese animated production that includes Hell, and it will ALWAYS be a bureaucratic office run by ogres.
