Can we please, please, please, please, PLEASE get an exact time with timezone included and all for this release?

Nope, sorry. It'll be sometime between nine in the morning and five in the afternoon (pacific time) on the 8th. We really can't narrow it down more than that.

Last time, we started the process of putting the game out a good four hours before it ended up coming out. The delay was due to several things, some that were completely out of our control. (I mean, it took an hour *just* for all of the preorder notifications to mail out!)

Even if we came out and said "It's going to come out at X o'clock on the dot!" this would probably not end up being true, and then you guys would just get mad at us. ;) Don't worry, though... releasing a game will be our top priority on the 8th. It's not like we're all going to be sitting around surfing the internet all day and then look up at 4:30 and go "Hey, wait, weren't we supposed to do something today?" :p

It's a frustrated smiley that is in east asian style, abdallah... it makes more sense if you add the paranthesis as well. (>_>)

Between 9 and 5 is perfectly fine :)
At least that narrows it a lot more than midnight 8th in New Zealand till midnight 9th in California.

I've got a swedish keyboard and we can reach the dollar sign with alt-4. :) The euro sign is alt-e. (Both are not used very often as Sweden still has it's own currency).

I think the placement of special characters depends on where you bought the keyboard. As a stupid, simple example, I doubt in Europe they have the "$" symbol as shift-4. That would be waste of a top level special character for most of the world, which rarely has to write a US dollar symbol.

Nope :D Even non-Mac keyboards (European) have a $ symbol on the 4 key. :P

Edit: I think I do have an European Mac keyboard, though. I just noticed a Euro currency sign on the 2 key.

The apostrophe in front of the 07 means it's the year.

"Mar. '07" is short for "March, 2007."

This is a very commonly used way to abbreviate month/year dates.

And yes, the apostrophe is used to abbreviate the year date worldwide, even in the UK! Unless this was cleared up for our extra terrestrial friends (you know they're out there; Sam & Max have met them a few times in the comics/series).

How do you use the Euro sign? (I mean, if regular 2 is 2, shift-2 is @... how do you type the Euro sign?)

Also, what's on the key to the left of the 1? That looks different than ours but it's hard to tell.

Very few PCs (if any) that are sold in the Netherlands have a Dutch/EU layout, most of them are US-International (more or less the same as US). It's probably used in more countries with very similar alphabets... except the UK of course, they need to be awkward!

yes, i await this email... aaahaahhhhh!!! want it!!!! NOW!!!

The first 2 episodes were pure fun! they really had the spirit of the old s&m adventure. i played most of the good adventures of the last years (tunguska, ankh, dreamfall, ...), but i definetely had the most fun with s&m!

i hope the third one will even top the first 2 episodes. maybe it will get a little harder, for example with some more items at a time. would be great, telltale!

It's an easy mistake to make due to the grey font on white background trick, which renders the apostrophe almost transparent.

We have something sort of like that in the office. It consists of me going "What's going on?" and Doug and/or Jake going "Jesus, shut up already!" and everyone else in the company (you know, the people who are actually busy MAKING the games) covering their ears and trying to ignore us.

Five minutes go by, and then Doug and/or Jake shouts out "Hey, what's going on?" and I go "Leave me alone!" and everyone sitting around us glares.

And then five minutes later, again.

Launch days are the best days...

*checks the clock, notices it's almost February 8th*

I should get some sleep...

Oh, we should totally decimalize all dates. Today is February 8.458, approximately. But you're missing the more important grammatical error; there's no verb in that sentence--there should be an "is" in there.
