The part where Sybil says that the court room isn't full of drama and finger pointing.....seems like a refrence to me, although I am quite phoenix wright crazy at the moment so it could be just me. :D

I think that's just a general court room TV show stereoptype. I mean, even Matlock had those kind of moments.

Considering the fact that Phoenix Wright draws heavily from the conventions of western courtroom dramas, I'd suspect that it was more a matter of both referencing older stuff.
