View Full Version : Interesting story...
Earlier today, I was speaking with a prospective client. He was telling me about a friend of his that started a company and last weekend, as a charity fund raiser, they brought the Blues Brothers in to perform. (I'm getting to the interesting bit now). I'm still not too sure why he mentioned that... At any rate, he then said that in a few weeks, they're bringing in an old friend of his from high school, that used to do voices at the talent show, and MC the dances, etc... having now gone on to bigger and better things. The biggest thing now being the voice of Goofy. Yes my friends, he was talking about none other than Bill Farmer (the original Sam for you youngin's).
I was shocked. So close to him and yet, so far... :)

Oh yeah? Well, a friend of a friend of a friend is Björk's husband. Beat that. I dare ya.
My High School drama teacher was an extra (and clearly in frame) with Gary Sinise in the movie Truman.
Gary Sinise was in Apollo 13 with Kevin Bacon.
That beat it? ;)
That's a Bacon number (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacon_number) of 2!
Wonder if that would work as pick-up line... :P

god i kill all of you!
I was backstage on the Regis and Kelly show because of a series of fortunate events, and one of their guests spilled coffee on me in a rush to get on stage. at the time I thought he was some crazy asian guy (i was like 14), but when I look back, I now know it was the famous martial artist Jet Li. Angelina Jolie was backstage too!
So top that. And one of my friends just stared in and edited a movie with stars such as David Carradine, Buster (Aressted Development), and a lot of other faces you'd recognize.
Max is my Siamese twin, we're joined at the left big toe.

Anyone remember that one "one hit single" called "Da Dip" by Freak Nasty http://youtube.com/watch?v=VHBwDYyyGxs Apparently, he is now a P.E. teacher at a rival high school of mines (the same high school that was used/animated in the animatrix episode entitled "Kid's story")
It is also the same school that Jim Morrison from the doors went to.
At my high school, there was an aseembly where Tupac's mom was trying to tell kids about the dangers of child abuse, gun violence, etc.. She brought two singles, one was some blonde chick who sung about child abuse while another was a rapper(I think it was m.c. mal) who sung about money. Because my school is bias against anything that isn't rap, the former was booed off the stage.
you can check it out at the alameda high (my rival high school] article on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alameda_High to see for yourself.

Well... Bruce Willis refused to sign my "Die Hard Trilogy"-DVD-box at the German "Over the Hedge" premiere and just wanted to shake my hand instead... I'm still unsure if that was a good deal.

No kidding, me too! Was it in a movie theatre? If so, it must be the same person we're talking about. It's a small world...

Oh and my Girlfriend used to work at a mexican Restorant owned by the father of Malcolm in the Middle's Duey, I can never remeber the kid's name.

I go to high school with the children of Tom Johnston (lead vocals of the Doobie Brothers), Sean Penn, George Lucas (well, she graduated last year), and Dana Carvey (my neighbor). And I met the President of Ecuador!
One time CliffyB pushed my friend and I out of the way when we were trying to play Okami at E3.

I got food poisoning before a screening at Skywalker Ranch, and I ended up throwing up in front of Barry Levinson & George Lucas. And one of the animators working at Telltale now had to escort me home, stopping every so often to let me get out of his car and throw up on the side of the road.
Good times.

I showed CliffyB how to play Blast Miner and then he asked me about Bone2. And then we held hands and frolicked off into a meadow.

I can see the back of Dave Grossman's head right now.

Brendan writes his jokes next to me all day. And he laughs really loudly at his own gags.

I had a really awkward moment with Tim Schafer. But I think that was mostly my fault.

I had a really awkward moment with Nick the Intern. It was probably Kevin's fault too, though I'm not quite sure how.
Everytime I'm at Telltale, you can cut through the tension with a knife, it's so thick. ;)
