Stuck... episode 2 (spoiler alert)

So after using about 2 hints for the entire portion of the game up until the shootout I blaze through all 4 hints and have no idea what I'm supposed to do, says "get behind the car" all I can do is stand next to Parker, behind the barrels or behind the trash cans... tried using all sorts of items in my inventory (thought I figured it out when I was gonna slide the lighter to Edna to burn her way out of the ropes... no dice), what the heck am I supposed to do?

you should to talk (more times) with Kid. Then Edna will exit from speakeasy.

[Billman]

Just keep talking to Kid until Edna falls out.

just stand by the car and talk to Kid until she escapes. Then after that you can deal with Kid. This puzzle is not the greatest by a long stretch.
