Comparing BTTF to Jurassic Park and deciding on putting BTTF into the "Comedy" bag is pretty harsh, but it's true the franchises aim for different physical reactions and emotions.

For Telltale standarts, the graphics look pretty impressive. Especially the T-Rex. I think the high-res works of big rich companies blind your view (just what the HELL was with that Arkham City trailer? amazing!), but I can't really judge you. Still, it's a video game, and I say even though this isn't on par with many other titles out there by the terms of graphics, it still shows how much the genre of video gaming accomplished so far.

JP is like.. .. horror/drama (it still is horror, well.. maybe thriller.. action... adventure... wtv... it's all that) and I would be thinking in an artistic point of viw, more like batman or heavy rain maybe. Something more dark and detailed. The characters look bland, just like a cartoon. I don't wan't a cartoon network tv show... Your not even comparing Jurassic Park at all in the right Category my friend. Well if you don't want it don't buy it, and my favorite version is the Sega Genesis, and I'm sorry...if your not playing the game for the story, and just judging it by Graphics...then there is something wrong about you calling yourself a Jurassic Park Fan.

I'm disappointed in a few areas, but I must say the overall product is looking really good. I can't wait for April.

Also, I hope John Williams Jurassic Park theme is included in the game. Telletale NEEDS to make that happen.

Hell yeah! It looks awesome. I'm completly satisfied with how it looks. I'm going to pre-order tomorrow when I get paid. I'm really, really, excited about this. I also like that the characters don't look stiff. I'm playing BTTF right now on the PS3 and my main complaint is how stiff the characters are and was worried that the same would happen here but over all it looks great. Can't wait to see more.

Well if you don't want it don't buy it, and my favorite version is the Sega Genesis, and I'm sorry...if your not playing the game for the story, and just judging it by Graphics...then there is something wrong about you calling yourself a Jurassic Park Fan.

I still hold Jurassic Park on Genesis as the best movie to game adaptation ever made. It was just plain fun, had great midi music and massive replay value. Hell, after 20 years, my Genesis still works, I still have my copy of JP, and I still play it on a regular basis... Yes, I still play it.

I even made the first two levels in LittleBigPlanet.

I wanted to add that I like that the game seems to be dark. The way the trailer starts is actually almost creepy. lol The T-Rex looks great too. As well, as the raptors. And I can't wait to figure out what the glowing eye's creatures are.

As for that T-Rex roar... unless it was some kind of hidden Easter egg hinting that Tell Tale are after the rights to the Star Wars movies, I honestly have no idea what the hell they were thinking. Just use the ones from the movie, please. C'mon.

Those are the new Nocturnal dinosaurs that were talked about in the GI article. No one know what they are yet but the eys glowing aren't meant to be anything supernatural. At least I hope not.

I think the environments look pretty good, the character models could use some more detail and the roar was... off. I'm not super hyped about the game. It said somewhere that the game design is inspired by Heavy Rain, which is good because I'm hoping to see something other than a standard adventure which seems a little slow for a straight up action movie like JP. I will need to read and see more before I can get my excitement up about this one.

Since Trespasser I have never been captivated by such a small amount of art and wanted it so badly. The Rex roar is probalbly temporary and since the characters arent stiff like in BTTF, im loving this.
Idk what u mean "whats with the glowing eyes" but they made it great! If you didnt know, those are the new dinosaurs that they added to Jurassic Park, its either like a Troodon or a hybrid/error unfixed by Wu before the accident at the park.
This game, if it looks as good during gameplay as this trailer, will capture my attention more than Jurassic park: Trespasser, my favorite game of all time.
I don't think that you should jump to conclusions because I promise you that Telltale worked their asses off for this and compared to things like Sam n' Max, this game will be historic in the Jurassic Park universe!

BTW: If you listen closely to Nedry's screams while the Barbosal can is shown, you will here a dinosaur roar that sounds similar (if not the same) as the audio files in Trespasser when you click on an icon on the start menu for those of you experienced with this amazing game... that truly was revolutionary!!!

Can't wait for more news Telltale, I'm officially a return customer after the first two episodes of BTTF and now this fine trailer!!! :D

There was a young velociraptor in the first book that Dr. Grant observes as changing its skin colour like a chameleon, though he also observes that the adults do not have this ability.

I haven't read the second book yet, it's still on order, but perhaps there is a dinosaur in that like what you are describing.

Edit: After watching the trailer again the animals look small. They could be Compys. Either that or possibly a dinosaur we haven't seen yet.

Double edit: Telltale are talking up these mysterious dinosaurs. A new threat emerges: an eerie, nocturnal predator stalking the group, hunting them relentlessly across the island. So it's probably not Compys, that would be too anticlimactic.

I just want to say that considering the art style I'm used to seeing from TTGs, I'm VERY impressed with this trailer.

Granted I haven't seen their CSI game, but still. JP looks like a powerhouse in the graphics overhaul. I can only hope we don't see the same kind of comments I heard on some of the BTTF Let's Play videos where this franchise was the first time any of the fans ever played an adventure game.

Then agian, the trailer doesn't make it look like an adventure game.... It looks more like a running-away game.:p

I wouldn't really call the character designs cartoonie. Cartoonie for me is Link from Wind Waker. That's why they call him toon link. I would compare the character modles in TellTales Jurassic Park to the ones in Dead Rising 2.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I mean that $30 for 5 episode is a VERY good thing but for that $30 you can't expect the same quality of graphics etc as you would for a $60 AAA game. IMO.

Graphics looked fine to me, not sure what people expected. Sound was a little iffy, but workable.

Gameplay is what I am worried about really. All this talk of Heavy Rain has me worried. I know it won't be classic point and click style like the other TT games but I'm worried it will be too different.

I clicked this thread to specifically pick on the T-Rex roar.... glad to see other people picked up on it as well.... She sounds too high pitched or something... the roar from the film is super recognizable its almost an icon you go anywhere and play the sound bite to a stranger on a street and they would be able to pin point where its from....

I've said it before, and it seems like this is what is happening: Telltale is going to become a studio that movie/TV companies can use to make cheap, good games for their licenses. With BttF, Jurassic Park, and the Walking Dead outed now...seems like this is the way Telltale is going. The problem is that for us Telltale Fans, we know these are low points. For gamers who are first being introduced to Telltale through kind of lame looking games for big licenses, they are just going to see Telltale as a ramshackle game company who can throw together cheap games that might look kinda crappy, but be fun (if dumbed down) and fairly good quality.

The graphics in the trailer disappointed me...If Telltale is going to be working more on games set in 'realistic' places (Jurassic Park, The Walking Dead, which REALLY worries me) they need to upgrade the Telltale Tool. I mean it's fine for Sam & Max and Monkey Island (please keep it for those games!), but for these games it's needs to be updated. I think all of us can agree: we'd gladly be okay with downloading an episode that is over 250 MB...bring it closer to 1 GB and I'm still fine with it! But is that the model Telltale is going for? Are they going for games with high quality story telling, but on a cheap model... seems like that is the way they're going to me.

Trailer is awesome! The game looks amazing! I cannot wait until april now :D there are only two things that bother me with the trailer though :cool: One is Obviously the Dino Crisis T-Rex roar, which I too am hoping they will fix when the game is released. Second is the Raptors. Not that they look bad or anything it's just; they are out at night. Weren't the raptor fences intact when nedry shut down the power? As I recall the raptors didn't get out until morning...

Could be that that was day 2 after they escaped. the game probably wont revolve around one day. dont know just speculating. I think i remember reading somewhere that you are playing as someone who is left behind after the movie finishes or something like that

Hmm, I hate to say it but I feel a bit mixed upon this trailer.

I mean, I didnt expect AAA-production-value, but I understand the concerns of some fans. Maybe I'm spoiled through all these new high-res games and being too much of a perfectionist as a JP-Fanboy, but JP is a AAA-license and the movies always had the best special-effects possible at that time, so maybe my desire for better graphics arent that obtuse! I do think I would get used to it after a time and maybe it looks better with Full-HD-Resolution and maximum details and Antialiasing though.
Lets hope some modders will make some model or graphic updates themselves, or maye a Special Edition with DVD-release ;)?

The character models are nicely designed and not cartoony (didnt liked the facial expression of Jess when seeing the T-Rex though, what she does with her mouth kinda isnt a natural reaction :p). But I cant help but feeling that the animations could be better, they are kinda stiff and not fluid, especially the dinos. The environments are OK, not too detailed but I think its enough. Hopefully they are working on it, and its not the weak engine that prevents the certainly talented team to do any better.

As it goes for the atmosphere and story, I dont have any concerns, I'm sure it will be well written and totally JP-like!

So what remains is really some concrete info about the gameplay, still my and many others main concern!

Man, I wish I just could be excited and happy about this new JP-Game, but considering this the last JP-Game I hate to find myself worrying about the gameplay and complaining about the technical aspects!

The trailer looked ok. Story seems interesting :)

Though, two prolems:
A) The T-rex roar was possibly the most terrible thing I've ever heard. I mean, SERIOUSLY are you going to use that? Did the T-rex get something stuck down his throat?

For the love of god, use the movie roars.

B) The graphics looked a bit weak. We haven't seen the game in live action on full graphics, so it might be better then what we saw in the trailer. Just that on a 2011 standard, it didn't look very good. (Imagine JP game with Crysis graphics gaah.)

This does look really good. The only problem I have is Harding is missing his mustache. I know people already alright talked about it but it's just so obvious. Of course if that's the only problem, that's a relatively easy fix.
