hi i have a question for telltale. i was looking on steam and the release date just saysy april, most games have an exact release date. so i assume you mean april first? i really hope so.

i have been a fan of JP since age 3, still watch the movies and everything else and am incredibly pumped for this.

IGN's site says the release date is March 31st, however I highly doubt that's the case.

EDIT: Checked the site now and it says April 30th. Let's hope that's just speculation

Now since the third episode of "Back to the Future" came out today, at the end of March, the next episode will probably come out at the end of the next month as well. I don't think they want to release both games at the same time, so I guess we'll get the first "Jurassic Park" episode at the beginning/middle of April.

No, PC/Mac is coming next month in April.

Console version(s) will come this Fall. It's unknown what console platform this game will be on, but rest assure that Telltale is attempting to put this game on every platform.

Take into account that it probably won't be released around the same time that BTTF Episode 4 (April) will be out, since Telltale would logically space them out to promote both.

I guess the 4th episode of BTTF will be released around the 29th of April (exactly one month after 3rd episode), JP should be released before then so they have time to promote it some more, my best guess at the moment is the beginning/middle of april, all though i hope its the beginning.

Good point. But I didn't take a good look at the calendar yet. :p In any case, I would rather lower my own expectations of when it's coming, rather than disappoint myself. So, the last week of April will be my guess. I really dislike it when people go insane over release dates.

That's how it worked with most of their previous games - an announcement would be made a few days prior to the release date. With the last two episodes of BTTF however, they've done "stealth releases" where the downloads were made available with no prior announcement.

I don't know why exactly, but wouldn't be at all surprised if that's part of the reason. People finding out at different times would stagger the downloads, as opposed to everyone hanging out here on release day hitting F5 like mad, with the server needing to handle a gajillion downloads at once the minute the episode goes live.

Heck yeah. the drawback (which I don't blame Telltame at all) is fans going every five days "Is it here yet? Is it here yet?" That's what happened on the BTTF boards. :p

I have this sinking feeling that it will be out by easter weekend, and BTTF will arrive within a 7 day grace period of the JP game. Whether thats a week before JP or a week after certianly hasnt been determined yet so this is all speculation, but my gut is telling me that JP will become availible first since its a new product and Telltale will most likely want to push its release ASAP.

they can give everyone a release date, but i have a feeling they are not planning on telling anyone (stealth release) which means it will be made available without warning to prevent CPU overload on their server(s).

Either way just keep checking your purchases for any changes, in case one day jurassic park is there and what a day that will be :)

Telltale Games usually do not set release dates more accurate than what month something is released.

I look at it this way:

1) Telltale has two big releases in April (Jurassic Park Episode 1 and Back to the Future Episode 4).

2) They probably won't release them the same week.

3) There are two weeks left in April.

With that said, one of them will be out next week, probably Wednesday-ish, and the other one will be out the following week, again probably Wednesday-ish.

No matter what, by the end of April, my two favorite movie franchises will FINALLY both have good games!!

April 15th wasn't the release date, there is none at the moment. It will come within the next two weeks, so be sure to check often!

nicely said haha, im getting quite bored of waiting now, it seems like they are just trying to pro-long it as much as possible. Surely they all know the release date, just are very un-willing to share it with there paying customers, they said april but may is getting a little too close for comfort.

Sorry but name a game developer (excluding Telltale Games) that hasnt annouced the release date upto 2 months prior to the games release, this is getting out of hand now, no wonder people are going on about this all the time, if there worried about the server failing then buy more servers, Google has over 600,000 of them and it hasnt stopped them.

Prolonging the release as much as possible is going to raise the standards the players will have. So if this game doesnt live up to perhaps one of the biggest film licenses in history, it could crush Telltale Games and its fan base in seconds.

It takes a life time to build a reputation and seconds to destroy.

Another example. The latest in the Zelda series of games, Skyward Sword, has been said by Shigeru Miyamoto to be in the final completion stages, and there has yet to be a release date set. Most companies are starting to wait until the games are complete or closer to complete before setting that all-important release date. Reasons? Business, most likely. Make sure the game's ready, then unleash it at a prime time, like during the summer or Christmas.

Well since the first episode of JP is a new product, whereas with BTTF its just the next chapter in the season, my theory is that the CEO of telltale will most likely try to push the release of JP. Its the same story with every company. New products are always released or unveiled first and tierciary waves of previous products are released later.

I have no idea when they are going to be release either, but I'm guessing Jurassic Park comes first, this week, then BTTF next week. You have to buy it first before you can download it ;) Click on the store tab>product, then after purchasing it you can find the download link (once the game is released) in your account settings. Click on the arcade stick icon on the top tab (next to the shopping cart icon)

Sure i'd like to play it as soon as possible.
But i trust Telltale Games more than any other game developer, thanks to the way they've always threated us, caring about us customers.

AND i am an huge Jurassic Park fan, i own props of the first movie, signatures of most of the cast and most notable members of the crew.
So, if anything, i want this to be as faultless as possible.

Kind'a late for my suggestion but may be for Jurassic park 2 if there is one!

I would like to see "Surperb visuals" and "GamePlay"! Want the game to utilize all 4 to 6 cores on a processor to benefit from Multi-Core systems! Do not like Characters to look Plastic looking in GamePlay as well as for the "Dinosaurs". HD quality for the game. The "Environment" should look surperb looking! "Game Animation" should look smooth. I would like to see a "Cinematic Effect" in gameplay. Witch ever DirectX title comes out use it to it's full capacity! Enable the XBOX 360 controller, I would like to see players configure there own setting to the gamepad!

I want this game to have good rating with IGN, I think this game has potential!

Not unheard of. Square Enix and Capcom have been known to do it. Konami made a countdown for an announcement one time, at which they announced they were going to have an announcement at E3 (which turned out to be Metal Gear: Rising). So perhaps, they can tell us when they'll tell us when the game will be out?

the series would have ended when Xbox version comes out, wouldn't it, 5 episodes, one released each month which is 5 months (release date for Xbox is also 5 months away according to Panther) :)

WARNING: this thread was peaceful until Greg decided to come tearing in here looking for someone to irritate (not a first time i have seen unpleasant remarks from this person). everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and these are ours...why kill the whole reason of this thread and peoples excitement just because you dont like what you see. yes you can have your opinions but why take the piss out of other people whilst your doing that. obviously there is a greater chance it will be released later on towards the end of the month and i find it rather sad you had to calculate that, because its common sense, something you seem to be lacking with your remarks, please be nice and im sure you will find this forum much more accommodating, that's all i ask.

i am only going of a website i have found, its not confirmed and its not unconfirmed. Today is as good as any day, being as this game is such a big release for them, what is to say that they do not announce a release date so then when it does come out the servers won't get overloaded with so many requests, besides they have been known to do stealth releases before i belive.

overall I think Portal 1 was way more difficult (perhaps just a feeling because we were new to it so to say). Yeah it's pretty short, It took me around 9 hours to beat the singleplayer (and I'm mostly slow because I read signs or enjoy looking at the scenery) :( but multiplayer does some more hours additionally - good game though

I dont think that will slow things down at all. PC users recieved their own version of episode two back in february. So games that are released on the PC follow a completely seperate time table.
