Leech guitar duel help

I'm having a bit of trouble here with the guitar duel with Leech! I've followed the directions listed in the walkthrough, (scissor kick, move towards Jennifer, climb on the platform, and then do a hop) and Leech is still standing and the game wants me to do something else!

Is there something that I'm completely missing here!?

umm not sure if this will help but I did scissor kick to knock over the amp then the move that makes you move to the left (one before the give up option), then climb the platform and if he copies you he will be on the plank in front of the open bin then hop and it should be over.

I had to walk to the platform twice and than do the hop.

Get him to Scissor kick the amp,then walk onto the platform,then get Marty to hop.

Ok. First scissor kick your amp. Leech will follow. Then walk to Jen. Next jump on the can or whatever, Leech will follow. Then hop and whabam. I also realized on your first time on the platform Leech will go right back down so you have to repeat the sequence

It may take a few tries. Sometimes Leech followed me onto the platform, only to walk back down when it was his move. Just keep climbing back up on the platform until he performs a guitar move as opposed to climbing back down.

Just keep trying to get on the trash can. Do the hop. And your done.

When I tried it, Leech only stayed up there when I went up from Jen's side.

You have to knock over the amps first.
