How do I get close enough to knock out Sybil?

I need to knock out Sybil from her trance, but whenever I try to get close enough with the boxing glove, she punches the air and Sam can't get close enough. What do I do? I can't go anywhere with the car since Max apparently exploded part of it. Please help.

well when i talk to max he just sais "where is everyone?" so that doesnt really help me

I'm guessing you have to get the cannon from Jimmy to hit her (there's a cut scene showing this off on Sam), but Jimmy won't sell the cannon.

Go to Bosco's Inconvenience and try to touch the cannon. After Jimmy shoots you, [use] him while he's busy reloading. Then just use the new item you get on Sybil.
