I'm in need of watching another zombie movie. Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be a Romero film.
What do you think of these

yeah out of that list I'm missing a few foreign ones and return of the dead.
I love REC. There are going to be 2 more films. The first one is a prequel and the following year will be a sequel (REC 3).

The new Romero stuff stinks, though. Especially Diary and Survival. You forget to add other classics though, cheesy as some of them may be.
Stuff like Zombi 2, Braindead, Re-Animator, Dead & Buried, Night of the Creeps, Burial Ground, etc.

I am moving the movie talk to another thread... because it was sort of off topic and totally worthy of its own thread.

That list was not meant to be end all complete list of all worthy Zombie flicks just some stuff I thought then and there... plus I started getting sick of linking links...
I kind of like Diary of the Dead... but yeah Survival of the Dead was pretty much crap... Land of the Dead however was brilliant and worthy to be included with his originals.. It felt like it belonged to me anyway.

Whatever you do, don't EVER watch "Versus (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0275773/)". It's one of the worst movies I was ever forced to watch. In fact, it was the one time in my life when I wished my DVD player wasn't code-free.

If you haven't seen Dead Snow (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1278340/), I recommend it for being a unique indie film that doesn't take the premise of frozen nazi zombies too seriously.

Has anybody watched siege of the dead? It has a very short run time at only an hour, but it is very good.

Well, if you're looking for a zombie movie, it's one of the worst, indeed.
If you like Devil May Cry and are opened to crazy humor, it's actually pretty fun to watch.
I guess you kinda have to like japanimation and jap videogames to enjoy it though.

I just ordered another zombie film. It is called "The Dead".
It is a low budget zombie road movie set in Africa. It looks very promising.

Anyone else hate Zombieland? At least the parts Bill Murray wasn't in anyway.

Survival of the dead was 10x better than Diary of the dead. I mean, who on earth can like a film which looks like it's recorded on a crappy camera. I want to watch FILMS not home videos, although I must admit the end of Survival of the dead was a bit strange, so what if zombies could eat things other than humans, it doesn't mean they won't still eat you.

I'll throw in a few more odd ones, they're probably not what you're looking for but are quite good in their own right.
Deadgirl; zombie girl chained up and two teenage boys, it turns out exactly how you're imagining it right this very instant.
Fido; billy connolly as a domesticated zombie, 'nuff said.
On a more 'standard zombie movie' recommendation that hasn't been made already i'd say the 'return of the living dead' series. I liked that it animates all dead flesh in those, the scenes with the medical dissections is hilariously morbid. the zombies are also more intelligent, too. it has it's ups and downs as a series but overall a fun zombie romp.

If you haven't watched it, you should watch The Dead. It's a more 'adult' zombiefilm, if you can apply that word and the style of it is really great. The movie is slow but beautiful and gory at the same time. The zombie pace and movement is very reminiscent of Lucio Fulci's Zombie Flesh Eaters (Zombi 2). Zombies are slow as hell but I can't remember a movie as of late where they've been as scary as in The Dead.

And having a zombie just riding around the island on a horse is acceptable??? all of Romero's movies have been crap after Day of the Dead back in the 80's
The Dead is a pretty well done movie, the best zombie movie to come out in years... I'm also looking forward to Heart Land

Bong of the dead.
Haha what a title. I'm very tempted to get this.

I enjoyed zombieland but a sequel is looking to be highly unlikely now.

Oh well an interesting concept but I dunno if zombieland would work as a tv series.
Zombieland as a 30 minute sitcom? BLAH! That will SO suck.

The Dead. I love the slow creepy zombies. My favorite zombie movie in a long time.

Sigh...I was looking forward to Zombieland 2. Yeah, a tv series would be boring.

If you haven't seen Dead Snow (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1278340/), I recommend it for being a unique indie film that doesn't take the premise of frozen nazi zombies too seriously.
It is a shame that most of the humour is lost in translation with that movie, there is a lot of stereotype humour about different norwegian stereotypes and also alitle bit of inside humour due to the person playing Roy. Atleast in my opinion. If only Kill Buljo made any sense to people from other countries I would've adviced you to see that first before you see Dead Snow to understand alitle bit more how epic the person playing Roy is lol.

The Zombie Diaries.... sucked. Avoid that one.
Exit Humanity... while rather dry... is surprisingly good for a B-rated movie.
The only ones that instantly spring to mind that haven't already been mentioned.
Also, whoever suggested Re-Animator is the coolest person for the day.

Dead Set (British TV mini series)
Les Revenants (They came back)
Night of the living Dorks (Not Great but entertaining)
Children shouldn't play with Dead things
Night of the Creeps (Guilty pleasure)
Someone once said that "Zombies are the new Ninjas". In the 1980s Ninjas were everywhere, making their way into every movie and videogame. Luckily, I prefer zombies to ninjas.

Just watched "Exit Humanity", its a zombie movie set in Civil War era US. Low budget, but very well done. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I always got a kick out of watching the zombie half of Terentino's Grindhouse back-to-back with Zombie Strippers; hilarious fun time.
Anyone else hate Zombieland? At least the parts Bill Murray wasn't in anyway.
it bores me more than keeps me entertained. Focused way to much on the "love story" bit. Shaun of the Dead pretty much nailed how a zombie horror comedy should be

Not the greatest but worthy of honorable mention 1994 (Cemetery Man) aka Dellamorte Dellamore.
An offbeat zombie flick about a grave digger and his side kick Nagi who work as grave diggers in a cursed cemetery where the dead come back soon after burial.
Some funny moments in that one and one of the best depictions of the grim reaper I have seen to date.

Anything by Romero from Land of the Dead and beyond is just crap. He's lost it.
To whoever mentioned Re-animator, Bless You. One of the all time greats.
Rammbock: Berlin Undead is a very good indie film. Does a very nice job with limited space and budget. Plus, it's only about 60 minutes, so.....
I liked Versus - although I wouldn't really consider it zombie, but that's just me.
Shaun of the Dead is just f**king brilliant.

Saw the World War Z trailers, and was underwhelmed. Looks too much like I am Legend.
The trailer for Warm Bodies came out the same day, and sadly looks better than WWZ : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3ErWNBX9Rc

if it weren't a comedy i would be worried that it would be a film about sparkling zombies, but it looks funny so it should be good

lol, the thing is these actors kinda look like the actors of Twilight or at least the characters resemble. The man girl looks like a blonde K. Stewart.
