Here is a quick rundown on the JP preorders:
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A FREE GAME VOUCHER

PC/MAC: Preorder from Telltale's site. The deluxe edition is up now. You'll get ALL FOUR EPISODES automatically on November 15th to your My Games page and the hard copy with all the cool extras will be mailed out to you in December. IF YOU HAVE A FREE GAME VOUCHER
CONSOLE: Voucher does NOT apply for console purchases. You can still preorder online or in stores for a console copy for the Xbox, or wait until release day (Nov. 15th) to grab it off PSN for PS3 users. Xbox preorders through GameStop get a free dino pet, but you will NOT get to apply your discount! You can use the voucher ONLY on PC/Mac purchases!
PC/MAC: Preorder from Telltale's site. The deluxe edition is up now. You'll get ALL FOUR EPISODES automatically on November 15th to your My Games page and the hard copy with all the cool extras will be mailed out to you in December. The standard edition will be up for sale the day of (November 15th) and you'll be able to play immediately. Your voucher will give you a 35$ discount, making the Deluxe edition 5$ plus shipping, which varies by region. Price of the standard edition TBD, but you'll still get 35$ off its price.
SOME PEOPLE HAVE MENTIONED THEIR COUPON IS ONLY GIVING A 9$ DISCOUNT. IF THT'S YOU, CONTACT TELLTALE SUPPORT, NOT ME. I'M JUST A MOD. THANKS.
Questions? Feel free to ask.

I need a new voucher. The one I have only gives the $9 discount. I PMed Michael Parks about it.
I thought there were only four episodes for the game. Not five. O_o
EDIT: FIRST!!! xD

My bad. Fix'd.
If your voucher isn't giving you the full $34.99 off, send me a PM and I'll get it sorted. If you have your original order number, please include that. If you don't, the full name or email address on file will do.
Also, it appears we may have a temporary issue with submitting the codes in Internet Explorer 9. If you're using that browser and submitting the code doesn't update the page at all, try a different browser and it should work fine.
Update: It appears that IE9 is also not allowing anybody to checkout via Paypal. Again, please try a different browser to resolve this. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Can somebody please help me, I tried messaging Telltale employees but that didn't help so I guess I'll post here. I was trying to preorder the game and had a lot of trouble getting the code to go through and getting paypal to work with IE9. I then switched to Chrome and transferred funds to paypal after a lot of trouble with paypal and telltale's site and went to buy it and when i was checking out with Paypal it messed up for some reason and timed out and now my code is "invalid" or something and it wont work, yet it didn't go through so I didn't get the game so I dont know waht to do... please help me telltale I've been trying to just get this game preordered for a while now, thanks...

Greetings.
When the pre-orders were being refunded I requested through support that my pre-order be held (issue-47616), a request that was upheld (issue-51372). I was wondering how much I owe for the deluxe edition of Jurassic Park, something which was never announced when the game was first available for pre-order.
Many thanks.

I'm in need of help from you guys. I didn't get the voucher because of reasons explained in here (http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26316) and I would like to pre-order the Deluxe pack. What should I do? Thank you.

Can't I just preorder only the Digital Delivery version of the game? Do I really need to preorder the physical DVD? Cause the digital version is ok for me and I don't want to pay more Interational shipment fees.
I'm just afraid to lose the additional "digital contents" as the soundtrack...

In the previous post you just said November 15th is when the digital download occurs. Which is it? Also where is the digital download? I've only downloaded Back to the Future and the Sam and Max seasons through Valve's Steam service. Is there a place on Telltale's website to download the games?
Thanks, a new preorder made.
But how about the insider forum? I never got access first time i preordered in march. A little sad about that.
I do think the "Post Here If You Pre-Ordered Jurassic Park and Can't Access Insider Forum" not is monitored. ( http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23366 )

The Deluxe Edition won't be here for release. You order it, and when the game is released November 15th, you download it from Telltale.

Can you tell us how much the Standard Edition on PC will cost yet? My decision on whether to pre-order the Deluxe version will depend on the price difference.
Also, if I do pre-order the Deluxe, will I be able to have the BttF and Sam & Max Season 3 bonus discs sent in the same package? I haven't ordered them yet as I've been waiting to get a few at once to keep shipping costs down.
We haven't announced the pricing on the standard digital edition yet.
You can definitely add other items to your order. The package will ship when the Jurassic Park Deluxe Edition becomes available.

I used the voucher to preorder this today and on my past purchases page it says I purchased JP as a gift. Does that mean I just use the gift redemption code to pick up the game or is the gift version of JP an extra for ordering it earlier this year? Sorry if I'm being a little unclear.

This happened to me too. I think it happens to everyone though (back me up here tell-tale). It's just a "If you want to send it as a gift to other people you can" deal otherwise you can download the game by November 15 and they'll ship the hard copy to you in December.

Hello, I've got a question. What if you move between preordering and the game shipping? There's a good chance that I'm going to be moving, but I also want to get the game in hard copy. What are my options here?
If you're in America, you would need to setup mail forwarding with the USPS, but you would need to do that anyway. I'm not sure if that option is available in other countries, but I'm assuming it is.
If you move prior to it shipping, you can send me a PM with your order number and new address and I can get it updated for you.

By pre-ordering the Jurassic Park: Deluxe Pack you will be able to begin downloading the first episode (and I'm assuming the others in order that you finish them?) on November 15th but the Deluxe Pack itself (which contains all the cool goodies and a game disc?) will not ship to you untill sometime in December.

Just wondering if I'm missing something or not. Is there a deluxe edition for the Xbox 360? Will there be?
I'm partial to PC games, but this game seems designed for the console. I'd like to get the game on the best platform, but I'd like the deluxe version. At the very least, the console version will have controller rumble which should be a good addition to this game.

The Deluxe edition is PC and only through a direct purchase with Telltale Games.. Also I use a wired XBOX controller on the PC with previous TTG releases and it works great... I can suggest the offbrand cheaper Madcatz wired XBOX controller (http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Gamepad-Controller-White/dp/B002MX6TEE/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1319856758&sr=8-5).

It's the entirereason for the delay from back in...what was it, April? Since the game was going to launch as a retail disk for Xbox360, they decided it would be better to release the entire game at once in the fall. That also gave them all this extra time to finalize the game design and so forth.
Hi, erm, where does it say you can pick which game type? It's just I want to preorder it for my PS3, how do I do that?

All pre-orders for the game only apply to the deluxe editions right now, so you've already paid for your copy. Having the episodes available on the "My Games" page is more of a bonus to keep us all preoccupied while we wait for the deluxe packs to start shipping out. So if you mean to ask whether we will have to spend an extra $39.99 to get the deluxe pack, then the answer's no :)

So now, I have the four episode but no way to get Deluxe for "free" (It was a gift, It seems a little bit odd to pay the game and totally ignore the fact that he did pay me the whole season). Now that the deluxe pack is available, I want to order it (along with BTTF deluxe pack and some other DVD).

I think TT only sells Deluxe Editions for their games exclusively through their website. I am unaware of any instance in which this has been not true.
To answer a couple questions: The Deluxe Edition is exclusively for the PC/Mac version and only available through the Telltale Games Store. The digital content will only be available to those that purchase the Deluxe Edition. Purchases of the standard edition of Jurassic Park: The Game will commence on November 15, but this edition is definitely the one to get for Jurassic Park fans. It's limited edition too, so it's a "while supplies last" situation. SOURCE (Scroll down to Comments): http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-893

I plan to play skyward sword too. I have also yet to get round to playing Batman Arkham City and Uncharted 3 is out next week. Then there is the small matter of making time for Modern Warfare 3.
Saints Rows 3 is out 3 days after Jurassic Park and AC Revelations, but that is just bad timing. There is no way I will get time for it.
Anyway I can't recall me even getting a voucher, unless it is hiding in my huge inbox somewhere.
Part of me couldn't be bothered because it didn't feel right to get Jurassic Park for free. I would rather support the company.

There is no word yet for Jurassic Park, but Tales of Monkey Island, for one, got a retail release by Lace Mamba of the Deluxe Edition (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tales-Monkey-Island-Collectors-DVD/dp/B004GHMRR2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1319999557&sr=8-2) in the UK last April (almost a year after the Telltale release, but still...).
It even had a different (but quite gorgeous looking (http://www.mamba-games.co.uk/images/products/mamba-games/mamg039_TOMI_2Dl.jpg)) cover.

I forgot that the release said "Exclusive Limited Edition packaging". Does that mean it comes in some kind of a cool box what we haven't seen yet? I doubt all of that stuff can fit in the standard DVD case depicted in the photo, lol.

Well they said "Limited Quantities", so I think "While Supplies Last" should be paired with that. Still the sooner the better, always good to have it guaranteed!

In the past there have been deluxe editions that stuck around a little while after release... and they always eventually go away and people wish they had gotten it while they could.... I am guessing JP might be an even more limited.. I would grab it as soon as you can.. but obviously consume responsibly...

Yeah, I never see the point of Steam when it comes to TellTale Games: you can download any of the games you buy direct from the site, with the bonus of a disc version loaded with bonus features, for a lot of games, anyway. Steam, you just download the game, no bonuses. I mean, one pro is, if you time it right, you can get some really good deals off Steam, but then, the same could be said for TTG, too. And I do love my shiny bonus discs! :D
It's really easy to add a shortcut on your Steam Games list, too. The process is basically automated; you just select the game you want to add from a list of what you currently have installed.

Seeing as the unboxing video of the Deluxe Edition of BTTF: The Game was posted on September 14 (http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-872), a mere 15 days before the disc started shipping (http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-878), and seeing as the Deluxe Edition of Jurassic Park is not expected to ship before December 15 according to the game's page (http://www.telltalegames.com/store/jp-deluxe-pack) in the Telltale Store, I'd say you might have a few more weeks to wait.

Priority or First Class Mail via USPS is usually 2 to 3 (business) days anywhere in the continental United States (it might take a day longer in December because of the holiday mail).
And Telltale's warehouse is in Colorado, which is even closer to Florida than California is.

That's something. Hopefully that's quickly edited and fixed up.
Finally made it to the part of the JP Novel where they get to Jurassic Park. Took me 30 minutes of reading to get there.
Perhaps they decided to go with 5 parts...
The Steam description has been updated. Thanks for the heads-up.

The Telltale folks may not be willing to answer this so soon before release, which is cool, but I was wondering if any of you folks on the team would be willing to answer this:
The bonus materials that come with the Deluxe Edition, does any of it contain things that could benefit costumers or prop-makers? Things such as signs, symbols, character references, etc? Personally I sort of want to take the Mosasaur skull icon and modify it to be a variant JP patch for personnel of the marine facility.

I want to buy the Deluxe edition, but the shipping price seems a bit... high. Even in the US, it's >$8.
I'd be more likely to preorder it if I knew how close the Standard Edition's price was going to be to the Deluxe Editions.... or less likely if the price difference is larger.
It's actually shipping and handling, not just shipping. We charge exactly what we pay to mail items out.

Isn't standard meant to be $5 cheaper, hence the explanation that the voucher codes reduce deluxe edition price to $5. The code is giving us the standard stuff we had pre-ordered before free, then the $5 extra is for the deluxe content that was never part of the original orders we had refunded.

That's nothing. If it weren't for Telltale's shipping deal last December, I would have paid almost $50 USD for shipping when I lived in Japan. Granted, it was for a hefty box of things (including the pair of Sam and Max Symbiotes statues that got lost after the earthquake, sad), but holy cow, international shipping is killer.

I'm a little worried. The server was slow and barely responsive during the order process and while I did get a confirmation e-mail from Telltale, JP is not showing up on my games list. Should I send an e-mail to support or wait this out?

11/15/2011, 04:52 am
When exactly did you order? If it's just a few hours, you might need to wait a bit longer. The order should show up however (scroll down in your games page to get an order history). However, if you ordered more than 24 hours ago and Jurassic Park is still not in your games list, then YES, email support.

It does show up in my order history, I only ordered it about 4 hours ago so I guess everything should be OK. Thanks.

Yeah i'm glad it wasnt me that this bug happened with. Usually when I buy something, it shows up on the store page telling me i've bought it and to "Play Now" or "Pre-Download". Jurassic Park has done nothing of the sort, and actually is telling me to Pre-Purchase and the store page acts as if I never bought it. Yet it's showing in my purchase history.
Oh and also.... TELLTALE! THE GAME SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE OUT AT 6PM GMT AND YOU GO AND DELAY IT FOR 5 HOURS?! DAMN YOU :(

Yeah telltale do suck on steam. Can't pre-load and now they've delayed the release so let alone needing to download the whole game we have to wait even longer then download. By the time I've probably downloaded it. It will be mid-night.

I've pre-ordered the game and have been waiting for nearly two weeks for it to officially launch on STEAM. This morning I saw I had 8 more hours wait... then as I kept checking, the time kept counting down to launch. A few minutes ago, I saw i had about an hour more to wait. I checked a few seconds ago... it now states 5 HOURS!!! What happened?!? The suspense is killing me! O.o

I'm pretty sure that Telltale is not responsible of the release time on steam.
Steam has its own servers.

If you're in the UK, which I assume you are as your location says Scotland, Telltale have basically said they don't know. It's waiting to be approved by Sony.

We've said all along that it will be available ASAP today. By the end of the business day, at the latest, so 6pm PST. Again, that's at the absolute latest.
I'm glad to see how excited you all are, and I know the wait is frustrating, but please be patient. We'll get it unlocked for you as soon as we possibly can.

Dear Telltale
Us here in the UK are already at 6AM. Some of us have to go to school tomorrow so we can't stay up all night. Please release the game in the next two hours MAX. If it's gonna take about an hour to download then I may not get to experience the game today. I understand the way you release is different than others as there is no one in the office at midnight but at least have it first thing tomorrow morning AND if that's not possible at least tell us when we can expect it or give us a countdown. Thanks for listening and I appreciate the update earlier from Mr Parks.
Thanks again!

Telltale is probably trying so hard to release the game ASAP that they don't even have the time to respond to or read your comment. ;)
But we Europeans feel with you. It wasn't exactly seldom that a lot of Euro TTG fans waited until after midnight on a release day until they gave that final sigh, turned off their computer and went to bed.
It's not that much of a tragedy if you get to play tomorrow, OK?

Ok... pathetically, I've been eagerly awaiting the launch on STEAM for over nine hours..., but I just read Mr. Parks post about the game being ready no later than the end of their business day, PST, and so, assuming that time for them is 5pm(?), and I'm 3 hours ahead here in Indiana... that means about 9pm EST for me... which is 6 hours away... *sigh* To think, if I hadn't been craving a good dinosaur game (Dino D-day has, so far, been a HUGE disappointment), I wouldn't have spent over half my day waiting on Jurassic Park... Yep, I need to get a life... lol ;p

I'd really like an honest answer of exactly why Telltale are releasing it later than planned. Rather than "we're trying" Trying to do what, surely you do what AVGN does and have the server automatically upload content at a certain time?
I want an HONEST reason for why they are unable to do so? Are they still fiddling with the game? Are they having server troubles, and if so why didn't they prepare for it? Surly telltale would have uploaded the content to a non-accessible part of their servers and the just need to press one button?

Now you see how intelligent and user-friendly TTG's approach is by NOT giving a fixed hour on release day. ;)

No need. TTG said they're releasing today and they will. They stuck to what they were doing for the last five years and it works. "Later than planned" would be a launch tomorrow and that's that.

No Telltale work on the game till the moment before they upload. There is no set time. They are busy tweaking it, until it's ready to be released.
Oh and it's not later than planned. They planned to release it on the 15th, which is what they are doing. Expect it by the end of the business day (6pm pst)

Could be one hour plus download as well, who knows?
The cases where episodes released very close to 6 PM PST were relatively rare in the last years. I could play the episodes more often than not on release days (it's 9:30 PM in Germany right now, and I don't stay up THAT late on workdays ;) ).
I just don't understand the delay in release, it should be out by now...
For the last time, there_is_no_delay. Everything according to plan, Asian Inferno! ;)
how long do u think the download will be..
That's really hard to tell because this time it's four episodes in one, I think. Telltale's games normally did not weigh that much (about 300 to 500 MB per episode), and the download speed was always quite impressive even on release days.

Okay, not delay but choice of time to get it out. You'd think all the preparations to be set up in order for the release to get out promptly would have been the past week.

Don't worry. As soon as the game is available for download two large green buttons (one for PC, one for MAC, will appear on the right of the order which will allow you to download the game for your system. If you look below the order, it will state that "one or more items are in backorder" or somesuch thing. This means they may not be available yet. As you know, as of yet, they are not.

Right-click, properties, compatibility. If you're on Windows 7, set it to Vista SP2. If you're on Vista, set it to the previous service pack. If you're on XP, you need to upgrade [This is a personal recommendation].

Preorders originally opened up back at the beginning of this year, and then around April/May, the game got pushed back to nowish. Because of the delay, Telltale refunded everyone's preorders and gave them a voucher for a free season of any of their games. That's where said voucher came from.

I pre-ordered the deluxe edition, but can't play the game yet.
My current computer is... ehm... extinct:rolleyes:. And with the prices of hard disks going berserk due to the floods in Thailand, I'm putting a new system on hold until production is back up and running.
So it's going to be 2012 before I set foot on Isla Nublar.
It's probably also going to be 2012 before I get my hands on my Deluxe Edition.
Any idea when they start shipping these?
But for the time being I'll just amuse myself with the Island Tour on the site and with my downloadable extras, having the Sounds of Jurassic Park in the background.:)
I can't wait to play and discover the island... and in all probability getting myself killed while looking around. But I've already seen a gameplay movie which shows some cool deaths. So I won't mind as long if I'll pass after a few attempts.
Patience is a virtue.
To end, just a question out of curiosity.
Is the Deluxe Edition only available on the Telltale games shop or is it coming to domestic and/or foreign stores too?
We don't currently have any plans for a retail release of the Deluxe Edition. Sorry.
