Hey guys. I know us gamers sometimes end up with extra Steam keys (Frozen Synapse comes as a set, for example) or gift copies of games we already own. This thread is a place to offer these copies up to whomever wants them, and pass on the gift of video game giving.

This is a thread out of goodwill, so no trading or selling.

Personally, I have an extra Steam key for each of the following:

I don't think that retroactively getting screwed over is a legitimate complaint, especially considering that the other side of the Humble Bundle coin is a bunch of indie developers and a couple awesome charities. And really, the Humble Bundles are such a good value for us, I bought the Introversion bundle twice (beating the average both times), and I still don't feel screwed over. Screwed over is not a concept that applies to the Humble Bundle.

Besides, unlike the Humble Indie Bundle 4, the original Humble Indie Bundle 3 came with the Humble Indie Bundle 2.

They have always added the bundle before to the most recent one. HIB 3 got HIB 2 which itself got HIB 1. It's great for people who got late to the party and started with this bundle. I get a lot of christmas gifts for a friend of mine who hasn't bought the HIB 3. Everybody wins.

The whole point of the humblebundles is for the indies to get their games into as many hands as possible.

Doing it for charity gets more sales, and good rep for supporting a good cause.

Having excess games is exactly the point.

They want you to share, to spread the goodwill.

A fantastic marketing tool if I ever did see one! :D

(Because no one gets to be the bad guy! Well... execept for pirates! XD
And it helps these companies in the long-term as they have more funding, but also a better position in which to sell their new games)

EDIT: In fact another interesting thing to note is the fact that most of the games are fairly old or really new.

It would make sense for the old devs, as the sales for their games may have slowed, and this gives them a much needed sales boost, but it also helps out newer devs.

Think about Voxatron for a second.

The game has a bizarre concept and image which may not sell all that great.
So when bundled with Gish and the FANTASTIC Binding of Isaac, establshed games, it helps convince more people to buy.
(As they can normally just gift those to their friends if they already have it, or be able to jump in if they didn't)

Basically, every Serious Sam game (excluding the indie games) is a first person shooter where loads of enemies run straight at you and you have to shoot them or they'll kill you.

...and that's pretty much it.

The first two games are all set in Egypt, so there's a hell of a lot of yellow. SS2 is set in more interesting locales, but the gameplay isn't quite as solid. SS3 is a prequel that's set in boxy linear corridors that eventually lead into the desert and its goddamn yellow again.

I'm sure someone will correct me, but you really only need the very first game. All the others are basically remakes of it under different names, since the gameplay never changes. And it gets old really, really quickly.

SS TSE is NOT in Egypt. It's in Mesoamerica (jungle green), Mesopotamia (snowy white), and Medieval Europe (dark and grey).

The SS games aren't just shooters. They are HOARD shooters. Hoards and hoards of enemies come at you. It's all very entertaining. I love the games. Still haven't played SS2 yet, though, which is quite different. I do believe the first is the best (though BFE is doing pretty well, but I haven't finished it yet) but I do recommend playing TSE as well as there are a few differences from TFE. Nothing major, but it's still fun, at least for me. I loved the games and I didn't think they got old at all. I especially loved playing co-op. Great co-op game.
